I'm going to tell you the story of a 23-year old cheerleading injury. My neck has been the bane of my existence since I injured it during a tumbling class when I was 11. Depending on how I sleep, it'll either be tight, or call-out-from-work painful. It caused me migraines. It made it impossible to get comfortable in any position (especially snuggling with any SO). Generally speaking, when the pain got so bad I felt like I had to, I'd get body work done to relieve some of the tension. I've been receiving massage from Gretchen at ITB for several months now. I just got a swedish/deep tissue massage yesterday and feel absolutely fantastic! She has a very thorough understanding of the body and is always able to work out my myriad kinks and knots. I work multiple jobs that are physically demanding, and often have a fluctuating schedule, which lead to lots of soreness as well as the occasional sleep deprivation Every time I get body work done by Gretchen, all of my soreness just melts away (within about 24 hours - I always ask her to beat me up a little!). I could not be more grateful to have found David and Boulder Cupping Therapy. Running is my livelihood, and as a distance runner, I have always suffered from hip issues and overly tight IT bands. I was given a cupping session as a gift and I went greatly skeptical. It's unlike anything I've experienced before. I thought it would simply be suction cups applied to my body, but Gretchen glides them around to create a very soothing and deep massage. I've had some longterm issues with my quads that have never responded to traditional massage but were greatly improved by Gretchen's technique.
