The offices were empty and two other ladies waiting as well. If the appointment with the previous person was going to extend into my time, it should have been communicated. I came to Matt Hudgens after an auto accident left me with whiplash and aggravated some existing cervical issues. On top of that, a previous PT session with another person (not Matt) had been a little too rough -- something we didn't realize at the time -- and it made everything worse. The pain spread down my spine and into my ribcage until I couldn't sleep, couldn't move without crying, and couldn't even take a full breath. I was at the point of desperation. From the very beginning, Matt showed extraordinary care. He offered to extend my appointment by an additional half hour, even though he could have easily taken a lunch break. That simple gesture told me everything about his dedication to helping his patients. He didn't just place needles and walk away -- he began with skilled acupressure, using his hands to release and reset tension before transitioning into acupuncture. His approach was thorough, thoughtful, and clearly based on deep knowledge of the body. What impressed me even more was how detailed and holistic he was in his intake. He took careful notes, asked questions that went beyond surface-level pain, and even checked in about possible emotional factors. That meant a lot to me, because in my own work I know how often emotional pain manifests physically. To have a practitioner who not only recognizes that but makes space for it was truly refreshing and healing in itself. And then -- the results. By the end of the session, I could breathe again. For the first time in days, I felt my ribcage expand without pain. He also taped me with strong KT tape to support my healing in the days that followed, and each day I continued to improve. The shift was immediate, but it also lasted, which says everything about the effectiveness of his skill. Matt is not only kind and compassionate, but he has the kind of presence and bedside manner you'd hope for in the very best doctors. He's incredibly well-educated and generous with his knowledge, happily answering every question I had about his work and his field. You can feel his passion for this medicine in every word and every touch. I cannot recommend Matt highly enough. If you are in pain -- whether physical, emotional, or both -- give yourself the gift of working with him. I was visiting Boulder for a few days, and I pulled out my back at the beginning of my stay. I contacted David via Yelp the night before, asking if there might be an appointment the next day, and thankfully he responded to my request for an appointment early the next morning. That morning be set me up with Gene for an hour session at 1:300m...Gene did a very good job on my lower back, after listening intently to my condition and story. Today I am feeling much better! So thanks, guys, for the great service! One helpful information concerns the filling out of the online profile, before arriving at the appointed time: one has to not only sign ones signature at the bottom of the online form, but also sign the "parent/guardian" signature box (whether or not you are a parent or guardian), in order for the form to go through and be sent. Having this filled out before you arrive will save some time during your session. I am sure they will fix this minor adjustment for the future. read more

Good massage. Had Bruce. I did go in for neck and shoulders. He cut the neck work super short....so a little disappointed in that. Spent most of the time on shoulders....more of therapeutic work. Rene has done an amazing job working with my 10 yr old to help her with the arm and shoulder pain she was experiencing 6 months after breaking her wrist. Rene's assessment of my daughter's condition proved to be spot-on and we've seen great improvement just as she explained we could expect. Awesome massage and very nice people. They tailor the massage to your body, your injuries and how you are doing right now. I have had a lot of pain relief in areas of old injuries and I feel safe trusting my body to them. I've been experiencing a lot of neck pain for the past few months. I was in desperate need for a deep tissue massage and was able to easily schedule an appointment immediately the next day. I really loved my masseuse, Moriah. Most of the massages I've had before did not pinpoint my areas of pain and discomfort. I have been in multiple car accidents, and because of that have suffered from chronic pain, headaches and a number of other issues. In the last 7 years, I have tried acupuncture, massage, PT, exercise routines, yoga, pilates, chiropractics and dry-needling. I had minimal and temporary relief. I figured I had plateaued but decide to give David, at Boulder Therapeutics a chance. My brother and my mom had RAVED about him, but I figured, "how different can on massage be from another?". Well, the answer to that is very, very different. David has an amazing understanding of the human body and of pain. Not only is he a super-duper awesome nice guy who is easy to talk to, he is also constantly teaching and learning. It's nice to know you're in the hands of someone who cares so much about their patients and what they do and takes the time to be up-to-date. This is not your "relaxing-spa" type of massage, but if you are in pain, you don't want that anyways. This is the kind of massage that may be uncomfortable but will do your body so, so much good. Since going to Boulder Therapeutics, and being treated by David, I actually feel better. I have followed his suggestions and his knowledge has really paid off. If you are willing to put in the time (there are no "quick fixes"), you can feel better. I would recommend Boulder Therapeutics to my family, but my whole family already goes there. I had scheduled with Randi who was very sweet, a good listener and understood my issues. There was a systems issue we ran into and she addressed it right away and made it right, which was unexpected. She knew just where to work and how to do it to bring the tightness and pain away into a release. I am not always sure about massage, as I tend to prefer the lighter side, due to my tension and other issues, but I felt very comfortable with her and trust her to work on me. In help recovering from a major motorcycle accident which required 16 surgeries, David and his team helped to put me back to the athlete I was before.
