Best movers I have ever hired! Hired 2 movers for a local move from apartment to single family home. Contact from the office was timely and transparent with regard to rates and billing. Rates were fair and affordable. Movers were punctual, were capable and speedy - all furniture was handled with care. We were completely finished with the move in under 3 hours! This recent move is the third time I've hired this company. As always, they responded quickly for a request for a quote. The moving crew (Jeff and Miguel) arrived on time at our place. Though it was a little puzzling, as their truck did not say "Boulder Valley Transfer." It said "Pride Moving and Storage." My husband was worried that they might ding the walls of our new home, which we ourselves painted. But the crew was very careful and there was no damage done. I would hire them again, but I hope we won't have to move again for quite a while! read more

This company was recommended by a co-worker and I'm so happy we went with it! The price was a little higher than a few others, but this was the only company that sent someone (Mike) out to do an estimate in person! We were not as ready as we should have been, but the crew jumped right in and help pack up the rest, without blinking an eye. The office manager, Lucy, was a delight to work with and even brought the crew extra boxes and packing supplies for our unpacked items. They worked so hard and were very careful with all of our items, including my piano and musical instruments! All of our items had to be on a trailer for a week in between houses. They loaded the piano last and put it in their piano room for safe storage. When they brought everything to the new house a week later, the process was fast and smooth. NOTHING was damaged or even had a scratch on it. I would highly recommend this company to anyone wanting to move an entire house. Worth every penny. The actual movers did a professional job. That is where the positive starts and stops. The billing practices however are deceptive at best and feel fraudulent in nature to me, given my experience. I just used this company for the first time today and had the WORST experience with them I've ever had with a moving and/or receiving company. I should quickly preface by saying I purchase wholesale furniture as part of my work as a professional Interior Designer, and easily purchase over a million dollars of wholesale furniture on an annual basis for my clients, regularly working with quality receiving and moving companies on the East Coast. However, in this scenario I had one bed delivered and assembled, for my personal use, which took all in about 1:20 minutes. When I was going over the paperwork the total fee was over $400.00 for this single piece of furniture delivery, which is outrageous and I was not informed nor quoted this fee prior to delivery, even after I asked for list of fees. I called Lucy, my point of contact at this company and she argued that they have a 3 hour minimum fee of $105.00/hour, which didn't include any of the receiving, unpacking, or trash/debris removal. I calmly told her that information was not provided AT ANY TIME prior to the delivery and I do not agree to being charged exorbitant fees for a simple, single item furniture delivery. She offered to charge me for 2.5 hours which still put the total fees around $350.00. I told her to send me the invoice and I would review. The moving people left and the next thing I know Lucy is calling me again and threatening me that if I don't pay the amount they were asking immediately the fees would go up, she also said the delivery guys were waiting until I paid and charging me for that time. The delivery people literally sat on my door step for about 45 minutes doing nothing after I told them I wasn't agreeing to the fees and to please leave. I told her I didn't have time to argue with an unreasonable fee and hung up. I next received multiple text messages stating the police were being called, that the guys were still on the clock, etc. This is all insane because this is now very clearly a civil matter, which Lucy was instigating and escalating. The police showed up and said as much, and I offered to pay for the time the delivery people were at my house as a gesture to deescalate the situation, plus the receiving fees, which was more than reasonable and still more than I ever would have agreed to pay for their services, if I had been provided the fees ahead of time. Lucy declined. I can't stress enough how poor this sort of business practice is for consumers, to be over charged, and threatened with increased bills over a dispute is beyond any sort of professionalism, and borders on harassment. My take away to anyone who has made to this point of this review and is still considering working with this company, would be to have all fees documented and quoted in explicit detail prior to any work, and to know there is a potential to be strong armed and threatened if you believe you were over charged. read more

Worst movers ever. We only moved 3 miles from N Boulder to Pearl St, yet it took them the whole day. In contrast when we moved within San Francisco the movers we used completed the entire job in 3 hours. They broke 2 lamps, a buffet and one of our desks. They took the desk away to get it fixed and we still haven't gotten it back after two weeks To top it all off they lost a box of Stacie's clothes. It's not like they transferred trucks or anything. NOTE: It appears this company has set up several "shill" presences on Yelp and does business under several names so I am making sure this review gets posted to all of their "entities" so you can be warned. My experience was similar to the rest of the negative reviews. Worst moving experience I have ever had. After being reassured by their salesman that this would be minimal stress, the people that were sent to my home were downright belligerent, calling me a "pinche gringo." This is Colorado in the 21st century, I know what you're saying. There was supposed to be a crew of four but one didn't show up because "he didn't want to work in the rain." The crew that did show up was unprofessional, careless with my property, took HOURS longer than any previous move with the same amount of furniture and complained about how tired they were. I paid for a full service move, only to find that things had been thrown in boxes haphazardly and with little care. I was assured my furniture would be wrapped in moving blankets, needless to say that didn't happen. The crew got belligerent when I asked them to clean up after themselves and not leave their trash laying around. They pissed all over the bathroom and tracked toilet paper all over the place then got belligerent again when I told them to clean it up. At the end of this nightmare I was presented with a bill that was way over the estimate. When I asked them if they thought they had put in a good performance, they made pathetic excuses and blamed me. If the owner shows up here with their illiterate cholos trying to intimidate or bully me I PROMISE you will regret it with a case of sudden onset lead poisoning if I can't get you "cuffed and stuffed" first. Avoid this company like the plague, you could hardly do worse. read more

Quick Update: I don't want to write too much for fear of more retaliation from this company, but after waiting several months for things to cool down I wanted to make sure to let people know that the owner of this company showed up to our home with one of his employees and bullied and threatened us, his player challenged me to a physical fight and the owner attempted to blackmail us into removing this review in order to be partially refunded for the repair of our item. We ultimately refused to do so in the interest of making sure that reviews reflect the real interaction with the business. I offered to update the review letting people know how they fixed the problem and worked with us (if they did so), but they did not. In fact, they didn't even pay the $0.60 cents per pound for our repair, we just went ahead and paid it ourselves and didn't bother badgering them to pay it (as per their contract) because they had been so unprofessional in their prior threats and blackmail that we didn't want to deal with them again. I even waited a long time to post this update out of fear of their retaliation (they also threatened to sue us for slander even though we posted factual information). read more

I would highly recommend not using this company. We were quoted $1,020 and then charged $2,205 at the end of a long moving day. While the actual moving guys were very nice, they were frustrated that the owner was unavailable for questions the day of the move. The office secretary was unable to reach him either. When the move crew showed up at our house and started working, they felt like one truck and 3 guys were not enough to move our belongings across town. An incredibly horrible experience then ensued that ended just before 11PM. In the haste to complete before the end of the day, walls were damaged, a ceiling fan was broken, and a box of expensive power tools was later discovered missing. We were asked to sign a form stating that all property was delivered, even though our property and boxes were haphazardly stacked to the ceiling in rooms and in the garage. As mentioned earlier, a '2X' bill was presented at the end of the evening. read more

What a disappointment it was to work with this company. I can only say, "Stay away!!" They were careless, had only one experienced mover and dropped the washer on the oak stair treads of our brand new house because they didn't utilize the appropriate (or for that matter, any), equipment to move the machine.They used to be a reliable company but the new owner, Michael, out of California, is just interested in avoiding responsibility. He said he would take care of things, then he said, he would submit them to insurance, then he said they wouldn't cover it, and then he didn't respond to email. His sales representative Mario promised me that he would be there on the day of the move, he would supervise, and that all the workers/movers would be regular full time employees Not.... Michael-you could have settled with me for a very reasonable amount-instead you used delay tactics and told me that people tried to make claims against you all the time and you never had to pay. I have moved 22 times in 40 years and actually have never, in all those moves, lost or had anything broken or damaged until this last move. I may have been lucky you were negligent. read more

I used these guys for a local move within Boulder County, and they were fantastic. Tony and Lance were professional, considerate, polite, and hard-working. It was a 90-degree day, and when they wanted to take a five-minute break, they asked if I minded. (I didn't mind -- they could have taken a longer one since it was so hot.) The price is in the same ballpark as all the other local movers, and the office manager (Lucy) was friendly and helpful. Alberto, Jose and Marcos were great! They were extra cautious with our belongings and wrapped the furniture above and beyond what we even did. Nothing appears to have been damaged (haven't unboxed it all yet). Well worth the money! Very nice and personable guys too and very experienced. My only complaints are that they charge you time from when they start driving to your place and time to drive back to their place when done. Also, they only give you insurance at $0.60 per pound. Any additional insurance is $20 per $1000 with a $750 deductible. This insurance price is reasonable, but the deductible amount is outrageous. I'm glad we moved all of the fragile & expensive things ourselves. It was only a 5 mile move, but this may not be feasible for longer moves when they're bringing everything. On the plus side, they said they wouldn't charge me the $20 per $1000 unless something was damaged. That being said, they were super careful! read more

Very disappointed! The estimator who came to the house and gave me a quote for one packer coming the day before to wrap and pack all pictures and art work. He said it would take 5-6 men and I would receive an email for my move date once I accepted the quote and follow up emails for all services. Plus the quote said it would be everything set back up at the new location. None of that happened. They totally destroyed one whole patio set and one mattress and box springs. Nothing I was told my the estimator was correct. No emails, no packer the day before, and only half the number of movers. Not one follow up contact or call to see how the move went.
