I booked a taxi 1 week in advance to take me on holiday at 08:30. I telephoned the night before my holiday and received confirmation of my booking. On the morning of my booking I telephoned 5 minutes before my taxi was due to arrive, and was told that they could not get a driver, and " WOULD I LIKE TO CANCEL MY RESERVATION ! " I am 92 years old and could not find words! I will NEVER use this company again. All my extended family will NEVER use this company again. None of my friends will EVER use this company again. This so called company should be shut down forever. A student at Northampton College booked cab and was given a time to be picked up. One hour pass the time given the driver turns up and the first thing he dose was keep the student waiting even longer by going to the loo. He didn't even say sorry for keeping you waiting, in fact his manna was so bad I called to speak to a manager and was told to write an email. I asked who I should address it to and the person wouldn't give me a name. The student was blind. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME BOOKING BOUNDS. MOST OF THE REVIEWS ON THEM SPEAKS FOR THEM. I ordered 2x 6 seaters to take a group of friends to and from the cricket. taxi's were on time, drivers were friendly. The cricket was rained off so we needed to change the collection time, we managed to get taxis within 10 minutes. Great service. read more

Unreliable! Second time in weeks made a booking and second time no show and then was told I would have to wait 3 hours! Honestly no words as both were for family meals I was late for. Yes I should have learnt my lesson first time, but I didn't. Never again. Do not book! read more

Continuously send taxis either too early ( 15 min early in one case then asked to rebook! ) Rebooked for soonest available 30 mins , they told me taxi was outside, but so were we and not a car in sight let alone a bounds Taxi, I called them again, told me I had missed 2 taxis and it would be another 30 min wait.. would that have come as advised? this wasnt the 1st time we have been let down by Bounds, so never again. previous occasion's saw our taxi and they took others instead, and again told our car was waiting and had to go... it was never there... I should have learnt my lesson before.. should rename their firm. BOUNDS TO FAIL. One star because I couldn't give them zero. Updated the office with my exact address, driver didn't read the directions, claimed he couldn't find me and didn't phone as I was advised by the office. He left to take another job leaving me without transport. I pre booked to avoid this situation. Would not recommend. Use anyone else. read more

Hiding charges, when i booked a taxi the price was 85 pounds, when i was arriving in the airport the driver charge me 15 pounds for the parking,but this information is not on the form when i booked the taxi,i used the bounds for five years and never charge me for the parking,very be careful before your booking. read more

Due to thier good reviews I phoned STATION taxi's and booked a car for 9am on a monday to catch a coach in town, stating 4 people and 2 suitcases. At 9.15 a BOUNDS taxi arrived 15 mins late-it was a really old van type VW, It only had seat belts for 3 people, so the middle rear had NONE. On getting away it sounded like the exhaust was loose as the engine sounded rough!. took ages for the car to get up to speed. when he slowed down he had to keep applying the hand brake, so something must have been wrong with the main brakes. This car was not roadworthy and probably wouldnt pass an MOT!!! It was certainly NOT like the flashy photos on the website!! ARE station taxis now part of BOUNDS? read more

AVOID - Awful - terrible service and lack of customer care - I have rated them as terrible (unfortunatley had to give at least one star, which I feel was a star too much) We pre-ordered this on line on the 14th November 2019, at a price of £30.00, with the view that it was required on Boxing day 26th and anticipating capacity and availability being difficult to book on the day itself over the festive period. When the driver arrived he demanded £60.00 for a one way trip from Northampton to Burton Latimer. I called thier call centre & thier respresntaive Junaid advised that due to it being Boxing day, the price would be double & thats it! no apology, no compramise offered, given it was thier fault, & no care given! only said write a complaint and thats it! (for reference I did and thier Driver manager's response was indictive of thier poor attitude) Incompetence, lack of care and very poor service resulted in ruining both our boxing day. Be careful using this firm - we left a camera in a cab (I know, not their fault but it happens), we were pleased when we called them and were told the driver had it, we said we would pay to get the cab back to our place to drop off the camera, and since then have had no luck getting it back from them. They say it has nothing to do with them, it's their cab drivers issue with us. They put down the phone on us when we call them. Based on this attitude and shirking of any responsibility I would personally avoid them like the plague. They threatened to sue me if I wrote about what happened! read more

Awful experience.... I booked a taxi via the app which quoted me a fixed fare of 20£ and when the driver arrived he said I would have to pay 40£. Called bounds Taxi and they would not take responsibility over the price quoted on the app, I had 2 babies with me in the cold and they would not accept to take me for the quoted price they gave me on the app, asked to speak with manager and got refused, as a customer I felt very insulted by the person on the phone, the driver just drove away without saying anything, poor customer service, unfair and false price on the app, not accepting quoted price. Really unprofessional and rude person on the phone cutting me off as customer. Just unacceptable behavior, this company should not be operating as it is. Avoid at all costs. read more

As far as taxi firms go, I would definitely recommend Bounds for anyone needing a taxi day or night. Myself and all my friends use them and have always been impressed with the level of service. The cars always arrive as soon as possible or on the time specified by you when you call and the drivers have always been friendly and chatty and known exactly where they're going. The have a good selection of vehicles and minibuses. There is no doubt that this is the most important number in my mobile after a night in town! read more

Avoid this company at all costs. We booked them for an airport pick up for a flight arriving at 07:55, but when the driver did not arrive we phoned them to find the driver had been scheduled for 18:00 ! As we were at Manchester airport it took 2.5 hours for the cab to finally arrive. This was despite me confirming the flight arrival time a few days before and a text confirmation from them. I received a number of texts relating to minicab bookings for other people so it appears they make a lot of errors and their staff don't communicate with each other or know how to work their computers. They are now refusing any compensation and claim the booking was changed 2 months ago and that it must have been my me (of course they don't have any call recording to substantiate this claim).
