I was hoping to be leaving a better review. Unfortunately, after arriving and waiting in line an hour with two other women, we were told by the bouncer that we were actually in the "VIP" line, and it would cost us $550. 20 minutes prior to this we were told (by the same bouncer) that it would only be 20 more minutes of waiting, so this was odd and frustrating. I don't know if this was because we are women, but we saw countless men and groups of men pass us to be let in by the same bouncer. If you're a woman, maybe reconsider and go somewhere else. I have heard a lot of great things about this place... I must say I was let down once I stopped in to visit. The music was really low and it really wasn't dim enough on the inside. It was like a Victoria Secret runway show gone horribly wrong. I witnessed a drunk stripper trip over her own feet twice and the second time took out a customer sitting in his chair. I couldn't tell if he was happy or upset about it?? I seriously thought I was at some autistic circus or something no joke! It's cool that they serve unlimited popcorn, that was a new one for me for a strip club, or else I don't go to a lot of them. Haha The drinks were a little over priced as well. This is just the best club I have ever been to. The dancers are all professionals, like you wouldn't believe. Sometimes pornstars come work in this club, too. The VIP used to be run by a duo of ladies, and I've never seen a more rotated VIP room. Seriously, it doesn't make sense that the VIP is hosted by men. Think about it. Anyways, the chairs are cushy and oversized. The stage has cool lighting and there are many corners to get lost in. I thought the food was good, too. Crazy! read more

I went to this establishment with hopes of being hired as a dancer, I heard through the grapevine a lot of girls make great money there so I thought why not give it a chance. Now I know I'm definitely not the type of dancer they hire, I'm a shorter black girl with a curvy body and I work out so I have a pretty nice body. I stick out like a sore thumb but, I didn't see why that would be an issue seeing as I've danced in other establishments that didn't technically "suit" me either. All the dancers were cool when I went into the dressing room, I didn't see if there was a house mom but I doubt it. The manager told me I would be able to pick a song with the DJ when I told him my stage name but, I didn't he just put on Cherry Pie by Warrant lol, a generic song I guess. And they put me on a stage with no pole which confused me because why is there a stage with no pole?! Long story short I danced to the song, guys just watched and tipped me when I got off stage and the manager at the time proceeds to tell me that she would call me if I was hired, which basically is hell no you're not hired lol. I've never been to a club where they didn't tell you off the bat if you were hired or not, because most of the time they aren't scared to turn you down right then and there but, I guess it was because it was a woman she was trying to be nice about it. Literally, I just drove to the next place and got hired instantly so I didn't feel any way about it. My friend actually works there but she's the complete opposite of me even though she's still black she's petite and lighter than me and she makes great money. My only tip for the club is older men like anyone that gives them attention tbh (and they love my soft, fat ass lol) you don't have to have a strict standard of what you'll hire and if that was the case don't allow people to audition if you already know they don't fit your standard that's a waste of time and energy! read more

Very nice looking women here! Also, not a lot of pressure from the ladies either. The back room where you get dances are set up kind of like mini cubicles where you feel like you are all alone with dancer. Dances are reasonably priced and I felt comfortable that I got my monies worth. Popcorn was given free with drinks and that was a nice bonus. read more

This place is great. I was here on a Thursday from 1-6. Traveling for work. I will say that the women are not as friendly as they are in Texas. That being said it took 2 hours before anyone approached me to ask for a dance. It seemed like they were hooked on their regulars. Very few young guys in the club and considering its proximity to ASU I'm sure that dancers are wary of young men. Most dudes had grey or white hair and I finally had to ask one of the gorgeous ladies to dance who told me that I looked too young despite being 29. I spent 250 in the last hour. They could have gotten 500 had they started asking me sooner. Overall a great vibe although drinks were overpriced even for happy hour. A Guinness was 7 and a jack/coke was also 7 despite them advertising 4$. I didn't make a fuss but be aware. read more

Review from a dancer: First the positives- spacious looking club, friendly door host and staff members. Nice big dressing room, friendly dancers in dressing room. Now my experience: Auditioned (which for non dancers this means your interview)- I am a skinny tall bleach blonde white girl, which everyone on yelp says that is all Bourbon caters to- I have the typical Scottsdale girl look, typical bleach blonde skinny mini stripper look minus the big boobs- never been turned away from a single strip club in my life, worked all through scottsdale clubs where we charge expensive prices for VIP's, experienced and trained in catering to old men and making good money- so I figure Bourbon is perfect. All my clientele are old men considering i have the young skinny bleach blonde thing going for me. I audition, didnt get to pick my genre of music for audition which seemed odd considering most places allow a dancer to come out strong to her style of music (mine being rock and roll which clientele in these kinds of club prefer) but ok no biggie. There was no pole on the specific stage so just a bit of a challenge. The client at the stage was an older gentlemen the kind that love me and tipped me and enjoyed my performance as he verbally expressed what he liked about me to me. And I was sent away and not hired right after my audition. I feel that the club liked how i looked MINUS my one visible tattoo. All the dancers were pretty much clones of me (meaning half if not all that i saw were skinny and bleach blonde) so i fit right in and I do feel that because of my one visible tattoo that this may be why i was turned away. Old men do not care if you have tattoos or not this is why all my clientele are older gentlemen. I could be wrong as to why I was turned away but i did not see tattoos on the other entertainers. If the clientele is happy with the performer they may potentially turn that conversation into buying a bottle and a VIP show with an entertainer, to turn away business when the clients express interest and the dancer marks all boxes on the checklist seems to be a loss of business for the club itself in my eyes. Would i recommend the club to patrons? I still say yes only because all the dancers were pretty and looked just like me so yes i would say yes, however if you happen to see a girl on the stage you like i wouldnt get my hopes up and necessarily expect her to get the chance to talk to you. and i would say that not all reviews are accurate because they clearly do not hire all skinny blonde 20 somethin year olds because i looked like all of them and that didnt seem to matter. pretty entertainers working there though. read more

Great atmosphere, beautiful women, however if you're an entertainer, cover up your tattoos if you have any-they don't allow them here. Management was a joke last night. They had a new girl auditioning, one of the better dancers there. Had at least 2 customers, that only came up to her, come up and one wanted a private dance. Management told her that she wasn't welcome to stay due to some randomly applied tattoo policy for the dancers. Having seen most, if not all of the girls dancing there that night. Most of them had tattoos, some even had multiple tattoos. This "policy" is a joke and is only applied if the managers are in a bad mood. Bourbon Street is a beautiful, clean, upscale club with management stuck in 1960s. To say it bluntly, this club is prejudiced against ethnic women. Doesn't matter how beautiful she is, the level of skill she has on the pole, how big her clientele is or if she's a customer favorite. There are maybe 3 African American women on a roster of 100+ girls. Their roster consists of skinny (think coke chic), pretty white women. Majority have implants and lip fillers. (If that's your thing you'll love this place.) My partner and I frequent other clubs throughout the valley and every single one of our favorite dancers (one of whom, is a world class pole dancing competitor AND a former professional fashion model ) were rejected. The last time we went, we seen this beautiful, copper skinned, petite, ethnic (possibly Caribbean) woman audition. She was sensual, entertaining and had a couple of customers come up and tip her during the audition at the very least $20. My partner was going to call her over once she was done but they rejected her and off she went. Maybe 30 minutes after she left, a young white woman came in to audition. I admit, she was facially pretty but looked awkward and seemed to be very uncomfortable being "sexy" was hired on the spot. We had been to BS about 5 times before, a few of those times with clients and had noticed the lack of diversity but after seeing it so blatantly displayed we left and will never return. Very few dancers can do tricks on the pole. Coupled with the dad rock and the extremely dim lights. This place is a snooze fest. Free popcorn is good though read more

So I travel for work, and been in Phoenix a little under 6 months. In that span and because of my busy work I've only been to 2 gentlemen's club. The first..hi liter. Was super aggressive about money. They women are pushy even if you respectfully decline a dance. Overall there it was an ok club for me personally. Then I went here to bourbon street. And the women were a lot more pleasant. They don't force you or make you feel guilty about declining a dance. The women were more attractive. And the service was well on point. For this being the first time I've been here I can gladly and clearly say I'd choose this over hi-liter. Nothing against hi-liter, but my experience was much more pleasant here at bourbon. Went with another couple and you would of thought we had a disease or something. Just wasn't couple friendly at all. Drinks were not worth what you paid for them $20 for a beer and mixed drink in a SMALL glass. I guess you get what you pay for. We paid $10 a person for the privilege of being snubbed. Dancers if you want to earn money act like you want to be there and see everyone not just those you think you will make more money. I came here for the drink specials, but I found the pizza heaven we all dream of. The atmosphere is neo modern but the staff is friendly and well organized. The pizza I ordered must have been made with fresh ingredients and came to my table hot. The wait time was minimal. The crust was spongy and flaky at the same time yet didn't over power the sauce. The sauce was robustly tomatoes and spices but blended perfectly with cheese and pepperoni. The only negative was a few of the staff had wardrobe issues. I tried not to look but it was very evident that the clothes management provided had fit issues. I felt so bad for my waitress, I tip her and extra $20 to help with her tailor issues. Over all I would say the food here is amazing, the drinks stiff and the staff is friendly. If you can over look the wardrobe issues, you have found yourself the pizza heaven you dreamt of! read more

Great place, very hot women, 3 stages for women to dance on so you can move around and check out a diff stage if you want, i was there on a thurs nite so the girls outnumbered the customers and they were all hot. there was also amazing diversity as the girls come in all shapes sizes and ethnicities. the best thing is this is the friendliest place i've been to so far, i saw two old guys chilling with like 5 girls around them and the girl that gave me a dance didnt just shake her ass in front of me like most places, she made it very personal also the girls here are sociable and lastly they give you popcorn lol read more

My boyfriend and I went strip club hopping on a Monday night. Our final stop was to Bourbon Street. $8 cover. The first thing my boyfriend said upon entering is "it's really dark in here". I thought the club was small but that was before I noticed there's a large back area with another stage. They have the yummiest free popcorn that I could not stop eating. I like the set up they have in here. The girls do one song on the back stage, then they switch to the front stage. There is a girl there with an amazing body with great muscle, her name is LaRue. I asked her if she competes and she said she's a FIGURE competitor. I told her I am on a journey to lose 135 pounds and compete in FIGURE myself. She was awesome and said for me to come back and visit her when I reach my goal. One of the things I did like is that ALL the girls had nice bodies, great boobs and nice butts. It looks like the hiring manager atleast sets a criteria for how the girls look. I've been to clubs where the majority of girls have nubs for boobs and that's just not my style. The bigger and faker the better to me. None of the girls asked us if we wanted a lap dance. I've noticed this trend amongst strip clubs. If I was a manager I'd make my girls work the floor more. Stopped in one nigh with a few coworkers and this place was packed on a weeknight. They had three stages with girls rotating through each one. They have a full bar and food is served. Lap dances are done on the floor and they also have a Vip area for more private dances. Amazing club and if I end up in the Phoenix area again I will be stopping by again. read more

They choose whom they want to do dance for!!!If they like someone they will even do dance for free or sit with them for hours without charging!!But if you are like me then you end up not getting a single dance or getting dance for the really bad females. I went while passing through Phoenix as it was just down the street from my hotel and had great reviews. All the girls were very good looking and friendly. Several girls came up to me within the first few minutes of arriving. One, Alyssa, caught my attention and I couldn't wait until she was on stage to see how she danced. I always like to see the girls dance on stage before I opt for a private dance. She was a petite bombshell on stage and I knew I had to have a dance. Bourbon Street was on my list of clubs to scout for my friend's bachelor party WEEK (god help me) in late June. And as it's the first strip club I've been to in Phoenix I don't have much to compare it too but will say that it has the feel of an upscale club similar to what I've been to in Vegas and New York. Well they lost a customer. My wife & had visited the place two times prior. But on the third time we decided to get a private dance and we asked how much it cost. The dancer (Reagan) says it is $20 for a dance. We say ok. She gives my wife a nice enough dance...except the dance keeps going and going. I get bored. My wife gets bored. And then I go to pay her and I add a little more because I think I'm being generous. NOPE. Apparently it is $100+ ...my wife & i are dumbfounded and turns out it is $20 per song...and she just kept dancing song after song. Except she excluded the "per song" because she assumed we 'knew' after telling her we had only been there two times prior...and yet she fails to mention the "per" part. Never once did she ask "how many songs?" (you think that might be important...but obviously she isn't there for her brains/communication skills). Talk about an awkward experience. I pay it and tell her she has ruined the night because she had for my wife & I and we won't be coming back. We leave. I call and leave a complaint. And I will challenge the credit card charge due to me not agreeing to ever pay $20 per song. Obviously lesson learned on our end. Ask them many times over how much things cost because they will try and screw you over. read more
