Applying for disability can feel really overwhelming, but they made it so much easier. I was able to do everything over the phone and they make it such an easy process. they always kept me updated, answering all my questions, and walking me through everything step by step. They were always professional and clearly knew what they were doing, and they got back to me quickly whenever I needed help. Because of all their hard work, my disability claim was approved. I honestly felt like they cared about me as a person, not just another case. If you need help with a disability claim, I'd definitely recommend them. Their support and experience really made a difference for me, and I'm very grateful for everything they did.

Hiring Dr. Amir Niazmand at California Disability Advocates was the turning point that changed everything for me. From day one, he immediately identified why my original SSDI application failed and what had gone wrong during the earlier stages. His ability to break down the issues clearly -- and without judgment -- gave me more clarity in a single conversation than I had gotten in months of dealing with SSA on my own. What stood out most was his communication and organization. He handled every single SSA message promptly, guided me through each step, and prepared me thoroughly: * A month before the hearing (strategy and evidence review) * A week before (fine-tuning my testimony and expectations) * The day before (last-minute confidence check-in) He never rushed me and answered every question with patience and expertise. Just a couple of days before my ALJ hearing, I received the result from a new MRI assessment that supported my disability. Dr. Amir submitted it immediately, and the judge actually reviewed it before our hearing -- something that could easily have been missed without an advocate who stays on top of everything. I was also surprised by how quickly things moved. I hired him in June and received a court date in November -- much sooner than I expected. And when the day arrived, my ALJ hearing lasted less than 20 minutes, even though these hearings typically run 45 minutes to an hour. The judge had no further questions beyond what Dr. Amir had prepared me for, which speaks to how strong and organized my case presentation was. I walked in nervous and a bit overwhelmed, but I walked out feeling understood and represented. For anyone wondering about the cost: yes, SSDI representatives typically receive 25% of your backpay, capped by federal law (currently around $7,200). This is a standard, one-time fee that is only deducted after you win your case -- meaning if you're not approved, they don't get paid. In my experience, the level of preparation, communication, and the successful outcome I received made this more than worth it! If you're struggling with the SSDI process, don't wait months or years trying to decode the system alone. Dr. Amir Niazmand's expertise, preparation, and communication made an overwhelming process manageable -- and ultimately successful! I received word yesterday that I was fully approved. I can't recommend him highly enough.

She got the job done for my daughter and got us the tools she needed and deserved to get successfully through high school! She knew her stuff! Had it not been for her, my daughter would have been it a much worse place. Because of Michelle, my daughter went from home hospital to graduating with honors with a scholarship to the University of her choice. Michelle was with us every step of the way negotiating IEPs and finally her exit 504. Michelle isnt just an attorney but a friend! Excellent rates! If you need an attorney to fight for your child's special education needs, LOOK NO FURTHER! We are forever grateful to Michelle Becker!

The advocates we hired were good and supported us in our IEP journey, but we never ended up with an IEP substantially better than we started with. Even the smallest gains in the IEP were prefaced by multiple, sometimes painful IEP meetings with many overt and covert reminders that compromises inevitably had to be made. These compromises were made at the expense of substantially underserving my neurodiverse child's learning, social, and emotional needs. My husband and I debated whether shelling out more money for an attorney would be worth it. Parents may not know that there isn't a standardized, licensing, or credentialing administrative agency that oversees IEP advocacy accreditation. You can call yourself an "IEP advocate" without any overseeing administrative agency, competency exam, or experience needed to begin your business. That said, there are many excellent, wonderful non-attorney IEP advocates. However, there isn't a standardized accreditation process and though we hired multiple strong IEP advocates, none were able to make the substantial, dramatic gains in our kid's IEP that Michelle accomplished. In the end-I consulted with 4 IEP attorneys and 8 non-attorney advocates in two school districts. Among the attorneys we consulted with-Michelle had among the most reasonable rates. Moreover, attorneys differ in their approach in how heavy-handed they are with district personnel. Michelle is a team player-she is very respectful, humble, and collaborative when dealing with school personnel. Moreover, she is very honest about your odds of winning something in due process & the high costs to parents (emotional, time-wise, and financial) with regards to litigation against a school district. She is firm when she needs to be-but it is delivered with the right degree of both strength & tenderness, collaboration and clarity/power in advocating for her client's needs-that is an art that is not always taught or intuitive to attorneys or non-attorneys. Michelle's ability to work with others even as she strongly advocates for her clients is remarkable to watch-she knows when to pick a battle, gently/indirectly showcase when procedural (or substantive) violations may have been made-without going on full attack mode, but still making her points and agenda abundantly clear. We plan on working with Michelle for years on end. I am not letting go of this gem we found. We finally found an ally who has an incredible mastery of assessments (her knowledge of every assessment, from phonemic understanding, to behavioral assessments, to visual/auditory processing, etc.) that the school staff administered completely blew us away), her understanding of even fine details related to evidence-based curriculum/pedagogy for disparate learning disabilities (ask her questions about dyslexia-you'll be amazed by her content knowledge), autism/ADHD, and sensory-related needs for neurodiverse learners is incredible. I am amazed by Michelle. She is an outstanding IEP advocate, attorney, and has a personal understanding of the journey as a parent of children with disparate special needs. My kid is finally getting an IEP that is truly individualized to her unique learning-related needs. I finally sat through an IEP meeting without holding back tears-because we were finally being heard through the support of an exceptional, singularly gifted and compassionate advocate & attorney. Don't hesitate. She's the absolute best.

I knew right away I was dealing with real professionals, lawyers that knew exactly how to handle something like this and do it right. Brian gave me so much confidence during that first call that I had no doubts hiring them. Thank God I did. I drove up to his office in Los Angeles and was so impressed by what I saw and who I met. Lawyers like Mark Rubashkin and Jeff Twomey, who were monumental in my case. They all took excellent care of me. They also introduced me to the best doctors I've ever been treated by. Experts in my injuries that helped me get my health and my life back. One year to the date of my crash, Brian's office surprised me with the best news of all. The entire policy. Insurance agreed to pay it. It was a big one. All because of Brian and his team. I was blown away. I thought the case would take much longer. Years maybe. But Brian had a secret weapon that forced the other side to deal and pay the entire policy for what they did to me without any further delays. I can't thank them enough for this. Now I'm in a better position to enjoy the rest of my life thanks to Brian Breiter, Mark Rubashkin and Jeff Twomey. Thank you Guillermo Machado for making this happen.

My husband called a bunch of lawyers and set up meetings all over town. Everyone wanted to take my case, but we went with Brian and his team because, right from the beginning, I could tell they were professional, kind, and genuinely felt bad for what had happened to me--ruining my face and causing a traumatic brain injury due to the city's negligence. A couple of months ago, we started preparing for trial, and the level of attention to detail from Brian and his team was incredible. We were in constant communication, and I always felt comfortable asking any questions. I had a wonderful meeting with Jon and Annie that made me feel completely ready for trial. Thankfully, we didn't even have to go to court, as the city offered a settlement. I fully trusted Brian's advice to settle, and I'm so glad I did. It's rare to find people who are so hardworking, compassionate, and truly eager to fight for you. Every single person on that team is incredible--I would be ready to go to trial with any of them. Thank you Brian, Jon, Annie, Mark, Tatiana for all your work during these 3 years!

Adding salt to the wound, I was also navigating a divorce shortly after the accident. No community. No safety net. Just my physically injured self heartbroken and navigating one of the darkest and most isolated periods of my life. Finding Eunice during that chapter was one of the best decisions I have ever made. For context, my case took nearly four years from start to finish. Four years! Through every deposition, every medical appointment, every moment of uncertainty and pain . Eunice and her team were in my corner without fail. My injuries were severe. I underwent multiple surgeries, including an implant, along with a long road of treatments and recovery. Not only did Eunice fight for my case, she made sure I had access to the best doctors in the industry for every single procedure. She didn't just manage my legal situation, she looked out for my whole well being, as humanly as possible. She made sure I was truly taken care of at a time when I had very few people in my life to lean on, and when I deeply resented what my injuries had taken from my daily life. What stood out over these four years was the integrity and ethics of her office. In an industry where that's not always a given, Eunice and her team operated with transparency, honesty, and a standard of professionalism that never wavered. Working alongside them for almost four years showed me exactly what "best in the industry" looks like. Not in theory. In practice. Every single day. Over the course of four years, I was physically broken, emotionally drained, and completely alone. Eunice and her team fought and stood up for me every single day. That's not something I could ever forget. That's not something every attorney will do. I really don't have enough words to express my gratitude toward Eunice and her team for looking after not just my case, but my health, my recovery, and my life during the hardest season I've ever faced. The case finally closed. Eunice and her team went the extra mile to negotiate the final outcome, and I walked away physically recovered and genuinely grateful. Grateful for my recovery, and even more grateful for her and her team who stood by me every step of the way. When everything in life seemed to be spinning out of control, much like the accident that started it all. Making that one good decision to trust Eunice and her team was the path back to a good and wonderful life.
