My previous dentist, who was in the CBD, retired, and I procrastinated about finding a replacement. Then, I broke a tooth. So I had to find a new dentist, one near where I live. I did a lot of searching, to find a good one. I ended up picking the "Boutique Dentist' in Bondi Junction. I decided on them because they had a good website, their rooms were well designed and modern, and there were two (plus) dentists in attendance, so reducing the likelihood of retirement causing another problem.
I was initially hesitant about visiting them, but it turned out it was a very good choice. The dentist I saw, Dr Hazell, was very professional. The receptionist was excellent as well; organised and friendly. I had an initial consultation, and then ended up having a tooth capped. I am normally scared stiff at dentists, but these visits turned out to be the best I've experienced. Lots of care was taken about my comfort. The practice is very modern - the tooth was capped in a single visit, because they can make the cap on the premises during the one visit. I've been back since, to have a filling repaired.
Overall, I am very impressed. And the prices are very reasonable - the procedures cost a little less than for my old dentist, which was some time ago. Importantly, they are clear to inform you of the costs before any procedure starts, and they gave me a printout of the potential work needed, from the initial consultation, with set prices. They are sensitive about the prices too, willing to suggest alternatives and planning to spread the cost over a longer period. Possible complications were well explained, but luckily none of the potential disasters, like root canal work, were needed.
Overall, I am very impressed. I will have now found a new dentist, and I am happy to recommend these dentists, based on my own experiences. read more
