He takes care of every detail including car rentals, stop overs, the works. It is so reassuring to know that Norman is on the other end taking care of things for us and getting us the best deal for what we want. "I'm just the driver, not my call, I just drive you safely." Said they would speak with him and offered us a free ride another time. Last week a…read moredispatcher tried to charge me a 6% CC fee (the legal amount in NYC cannot be over 4%) and today when repeating the exact same booking, I was told that I was being charged a $10 'surcharge' for this ride and that the dispatcher last week forgot to assess this to my booking. And if you use their app, the driver sees your full name, last 4 of your CC card and address - no security features there. This is not the same with ride share services. Also, at times the drivers have dirty cars and can take up to 30 minutes to pick you up.

MV is one of the largest paratransit companies in North America,salaries are competitive with…read moreother paratransit,they are fairly reliable every thing depends on traffic,the skill of the drivers and dispatchers in repositioning their rides when their running behind When I meet an excellent driver I like to commend them on MTA.info.Because MV is nationwide drivers can transfer to other states including Puerto Rico and Hawaii Theres another paratransit that's still operational in the Bronx it's called Care rides although the web says they are out of business I've seen them on the road recently,All of the Paratransit companies are constantly hiring some will help drivers get a CDL unfortunately not many advertise,there was only one who was actually advertising on the radio.But getting back to assess a ride it's well worth applying ,call 877-377-2017 press 1 for eligibility they send you an application you'll have to go through a medical screening, If you succeed in getting assess a ride services you should use it at least once a month or lost it.They also provide car service,but I prefer paratransit as the drivers are more professional and more use to working with disabled people.The recent horrible scene on the media of a cab driver pulling an eighty year old out of his car is horrible example of what I mean.The media kept identifying him as an access a ride driver but in reality he was a car service driver under contract,these people very often arrive without even displaying an assess a ride sign or getting out of the car to look for the driver.Many people filmed that scene and it went out over the media,hopefully the driver was identified and procuted.
