Don't judge this book by the cover!…read more I want to leave an honest review for people like me to appreciate. I've been aware of this place for several months now. I was excited when I first learned that Great Falls was getting an escape room but, to be real, was reluctant to spend my time and money at Escape the Falls once I saw their branding and photos of the experience in social media. A growing desire for a unique date night is what finally convinced us to take the chance. I'm really glad we did! THE DOWNSIDE: The "packaging" has room for improvement, for sure. Let's just get it out there - their signage isn't awesome. The facility itself is a bit rundown and needing creative attention. There are elements, especially in the staging area, that seem a little too "home-made" for the cost of admission. I'm excited to see this business develop further (and gain that 5th star!) and I'm hoping they gain enough clientele in Great Falls to support that effort. THE UPSIDE: The teen girl on shift (Hannah? Hailey?) was, although young, quite friendly and informative. She was patient in answering questions and putting up with our lame jokes. The room itself (we chose the "Cooper Cabin" experience) was impressive. With the exception of some Christmas lights that seemed definitively off-theme, it was aesthetically a huge improvement from the rest of the facility. The technology was on-point. The orientation video, the countdown clock, the ability to communicate with Hannah via cameras & text - all worked smoothly and looked pro. The overall escape puzzle was fantastic! This was the first escape room experience for everyone in our party (although we had some serious strategy game players involved) so veterans may feel otherwise - but our entire group was engaged and intrigued the entire time. We ended up finishing with about 10 mins to spare and were quite proud of having beaten the room, considering the fact that several of the puzzles within the puzzle had kept us stumped for quite awhile. CONCLUSION: The $20/person price tag was initially a little off-putting but now, having Escaped the Falls, I would gladly pay it again. Absolutely love it. As far as the FLOOR LEVEL - The equipment is both new and very esthetically pleasing. I will say it is a bit tight but not a gym for your next video or chat. This is a spot that has everything you need to bang out a great lift. Also, not busy at all. I went by once early in the morning and once in the afternoon and both times never waiting on anything. The LOCKER ROOM - on the men's side (don't know about women's) was AWSOME. Several sinks, outlets, showers and sauna. The sauna had a TV in it too which was kinda nice but turned off after a while. Also worth mentioning lockers have built in locks so no need to bring your own. The INTERIOR STYLE - itself is also really cool with an industrial chic look. The staff is very friendly and informative. They have a decent selection of classes which come with the pass aside from 2 or 3. The person at the counter answered all my ridiculous questions and did so happily. Appreciate that as I am a pain. Protein drink and a bottle of water was only $4.00!! Maybe it's because I'm from out of town but that's insane cheap in my book. Around $8-9 by me. Kept from the 5 star - space was tight but too big would ruin as there is a fine line. One of the squat racks has a wobbly floor so make sure to use the one of the right hand side. The variety of the machines were surprisingly great. They have an interesting farmer carry machine that I've never seen before as well as a hack squat machine. I wish the turf was a little more open and didn't have that big cage over it. I appreciated how they have mileage markers along the path so you can keep track of your distance without some type of technology. And that's probably the claim to fame for Gibson Park. It is a nesting area or haven (or call it what you will) for hundreds of Canadian Geese, seagulls and members of the birding family. They all cohabitate together here set around a charming giant pond. So then you may be asking, why only 3 stars? Well, this park could really use a refurbishing. Like, for a day or a week, it needs to cleaned up. The amount of bird poop and small trashy items lying around were pretty evident. Walking beside the lakefront, it just felt like you're stepping on soft manure. And it made for a pretty rundown setting. But really, Gibson Park has tremendous potential. If it were a little more polished, this place could be 5 stars. Regardless, for a quiet Sunday afternoon going for a stroll and taking in some fresh air...I was happy I stopped on by here. I appreciated how some of the mamma ducks had little ducklings following them around. That's just a scene of pure innocence and heart warming. There are paved walkways, plenty of beaches to sit down on, free public restrooms, lots of grassy area to play with your dog, a playground, a skateboard park (but that was covered in graffiti) and even a snack stand area beside the duck pond. For the snack shack, they sell these slushes for $5.25 in a variety of flavors. Also on the outside menu board was cotton candy, nachos, pretzels, popcorn, candy and chips, ya know, all the good stuff that caters to kids, lol. Overall, if you do anything here, I would suggest taking some food with ya to feed the geese and ducks. I brought some pretzels with me (which I crushed up) and put pieces in the palm of my hand which the geese happily and harmlessly pecked out of my hand. So, I guess, I'm also guilty of contributing to the poop around the pond just as everyone else has, lol. Lastly, I'm pretty surprised Gibson Park has only 2 reviews? For a springtime Sunday, there were a lot young families and children present that you'd think this place would receive more recognition? Or, maybe just folks here in Great Falls, MT don't do much Yelping, lol. Either way, I did enjoy my time here and was able to overlook all the stains embedded in the pavement.

This apparently used to be Gold's Gym and I'm guessing they lost their franchise because of the above issues. They must have spent a fortune with a marketing firm to come up with the new name... "The Gym". To be fair they were making some improvements in the men's locker room so it might be looking up. For you out of towners, when you stay at the Fairfield Inn you get to use this gym for free.
