Dr Noftz is a great doctor but his entire staff besides maybe one nurse are completely clueless and…read moredon't care about their patients, especially their disabled patients who have challenges getting to appointments perfectly on time. They only give you a 10 minute grace period not a second more and most doctors office's ive ever been to give 15-20 min grace period especially specialists/doctors who deal regularly with disabilities. I called because I was running a bit behind and the receptionist told me I had a 15 min grace period, but I arrived 11 minutes after my appointment time and they said there was nothing they could do but reschedule me for next week. So I rushed there for no reason while I was already feeling terrible. I have surgery in 5 days. They rescheduled me for the morning before my surgery to "clear" me for said surgery. I have been trying to get in to see them since May and it's now the end of July right before the surgery. I left 7 voicemails and nobody ever got back to me. Pretty much every time you call it goes to voicemail and you never get a call back or it's several weeks later if they do return your calls. Called They also always try to force you to go to PT if you have any sort of chronic pain which doesn't help people who have connective tissue disorders (what I have) and it actually makes it worse. They send you to pain management for any sort of actual help, which is sub par at best. Nancy Martin (nurse practitioner) left so it's even harder to get an appointment in this office. Don't ever expect to be seen for a cold, virus, or infection either... after covid they stopped seeing sick patients so it basically forces you to go to redicare if you need to get antibiotics. Why even have a GP if they dont help you when you're ill?

I really wish Yelp would allow for zero star reviews…read more I have been a patient of Dr. Noftz for 15 years. I have followed him from the initial office he was in to his own practice and when he also had an outside physician management company called NWO Orthopedic and Sports Management take over the management of his practice. I used to be satisfied with the level of care I recieved PRIOR to the management company taking over for him. Ever since then the staff has been slowly replaced with people who are rude, ill informed on my medical history, and who also treat you like a number. There is no level of personal care or compassion with this office. When I called to make an appointment, I was told that since I was a self pay, that I would have to choose which provider I wanted to see for my appointment. I was then told. "It depends on the level of care and how long they spend with you" that would determine the price of the visit. My most recent visit was subpar at best when it concerns the support staff. The lady at check in, Kasey, was not only rude but also blatantly disregarded my privacy as she blurted out all of my private details in front of a room full of waiting patients. Needless to say, Dr. Noftz, who I respect and trust to treat my health matters with the upmost of care has certainly let his practice go to hell. The staff he has elected to occupy his practice are dragging his reputation through the dirt.

I had ankle surgery with Dr. Dan Elbert on February 12, 2021. I am pleased to say that thanks to…read morehim, I have made a full recovery and have my life back. I received nothing but the highest quality of treatment from him and his team. I also wish to extend my thanks to the physical therapy team in both the Findlay and Tiffin office. I received rehabilitative services from both locations and saw an increase in strength and stability and a large decrease in pain. My distaste, however, lies with the surgery scheduling team and the billing manager. I was assured by the surgery schedulers when scheduling my surgery back in January and February that all surgical services were approved and covered by my insurance. I was told that the only payment I would be responsible for was the remainder of my deductible and out of pocket. After my surgery, I received an explanation of benefits from my insurance that said quite the opposite of what I was assured by the schedulers and billing team. My insurance did not cover a large portion of my surgery, leaving me with a bill several thousand dollars larger than I was anticipating and, understandably, quite the headache. I was told by my insurance company that I could have Dr. Elbert and the billing team at NWO submit an appeal on my behalf to try to get the uncovered portion of the surgery paid. I called the billing manager multiple times and never heard back. Multiple voicemails and emails to the billing manager went unanswered. After weeks of waiting, I submitted my own appeal without the assistance of NWO. As I assumed, the appeal failed. I am responsible for the several thousand dollars of uncovered charges and the billing team at NWO failed to help me in any way. Had I been informed that I would be responsible for several thousand dollars of additional charges, I likely would have wanted to talk to Dr. Elbert about more cost effective treatment options, however, because NWO's billing team failed to do their due diligence and failed to own up to their mistake I am left with a large bill. I am very disappointed. If NWO is willing to reach out and work with me to get this bill taken care of, I will gladly change my review.

I believe this is the urgent care inside the hospital. I moved out here recently and have needed an…read moreurgent care two times and both times came here because the ProMedica one has a big sign saying they're closed...every day since I moved here, plus I have other reasons for not wanting to return to ProMedica anything. Anyway, this urgent care is actually pretty good and is just part of the hospital itself unlike most urgent cares I've seen which might be near them but are their own little building - so it is pretty busy around you and at the moment due to covid you sign in at the urgent care but then wait at the family practice area and are seen there instead as well. Having a lot of experience in a lot of different cities and a few states with many visits to urgent cares, I'd say this is one of the better places I've gone to (possibly due to being part of the hospital?). While there can be extremely long wait times (nearly 2 hours without many people even waiting in the first place) once you're seen they're thorough, nice, and go out of their way to really make sure they're certain what is wrong and that you, as the patient, understand what it they're diagnosing you with, what it means, and what the next steps are/what the medication does and how to use it - rather than past urgent care experiences I've had where much of the time you're basically rushed in and out. In fact, these doctors have spent more time explaining and checking my issue than my ACTUAL primary care doctor at "the only competing hospital/urgent care in the area" which is why I won't be returning there - especially when they charge me for 40 minutes when he'd see me for about 3 total minutes.

Dr. Samir Patel was absolutely amazing, his bedside manner is second to none. We also had a wonderful experience with the Trainer, Angie, and another woman whose name I did not catch. Great service and although we were in and out within about an hour (to include x-rays), we received a thorough exam and quality time with both the doctor and staff. I will recommend OIO to everyone I know.
