Braintree post office has moved. and is just so much better!…read more Rather than having to walk to the back of the Co-op (or Quadrant) and get in a long winding queu. the Braintree Post Office finally has its own premises! The new premises is spacious airy and clean and seems to have hada really positive impact on the staff who are all really helpful and friendly. As it is a store in its own right now, you can purchase all the usual post office supplies as well as newspapers and magazines.and there is even a free cash point outside! What more could you want?

The staff are nice and friendly and chatty. Be warned there is only street parking and quite a few other shops so parking can be tricky.

It has a small cashier desk for buying the products within the shop which looks small but is deceptive, there are a lot of items in a fairly small place. There is a seating area for anyone waiting for a Friend or in need of a rest with a ledge to write out your postal orders etc although there do seem to be some regular homeless people who congregate here. Then round the corner there are approx 10 tills with an automated voice letting you know which ones are free, all the staff are friendly and willing to help in any way they can. The staff seem to be very pushy with the post office credit card and even when you tell them you are not interested they give you paperwork and continue to try and sell it to you. They have a fast system so even if there is a big queue you will be served fast.

The staff are polite, interact with the children and are so friendly you want to browse the shelves and buy extras or some sweets for the kids. They say hello when you come into the shop, they put themselves out and most of all a nice place to shop. If you can support any post office in the chelmsford district this is the one to go to. since moving 5 miles away I go here all the time.

This Post Office is on the vineyards parade of shops located in Great Baddow. They have free…read moreparking for 2 hours located on each side of the shops and some parking to the front of the shops too. The post office is on the side of the newsagents but has a seperate door. The queues in here can get pretty big as theres only 3 desks and normally when i go in only 2 people servicing. You can do all sorts here from posting a parcel or letter to buying car tax. Is is one member of staff that is a little rude and unhelpful but most there are happy to help.
