I have bought a couple vehicles from here now... its not the cars - my time is valuable, if I make an appointment I expect to have my vehicle in at that point .. to wait hours or a full day to have something checked out is ridiculous. I have also been away every year for the past 6 years in florida for the winter - so then why do I keep getting service calls .. write it in my file I am gone November to may please get better organized. horrible place do not bring your car there for service Norman cheats you out of your warranty and you have to pay the full price even though i pay for this biweekly what is the point of having the car under warranty then ?!?!? and forget having it ready on time it never is and your left without car. just don't waste your hard earned money or time. read more

I have been going to this dealership for about 5 years now with my 2017 chevy corvette which i bought new in 2017. a year after i bought the car, one of the rims had a crack from inside and was leaking air. I thought it was a manufacturing issue since there was no damage on the rim and would be covered under warranty. They didn't cover it under warranty and the service manager Jason told me I must have gone over a pothole at high speed. i paid for 1200 for the rim at that time. A year later the car went to the dealership again for an exhaust leak issue, they kept the car for a month. In the time when the car was in their possession, another rim got a crack and started leaking air. This time the tech told me "don't worry, this is a very common issue with these vettes, we will change your rim under warranty.". I was very displeased to hear this since they had made me pay for a new rim one year ago. I did a claim for the refund which was denied. I was never given a reason for denial. Fast forward to summer 2022, my same car had been to this dealership for variety of issues fixed under warranty. I took it back there for a shifting issue. The tranny tech went for a test drive with me; however, the drive was perfect, and the car didn't misbehave at all. The tech suggested, I leave my car for tranny software update. I did and picked it up 6 hours later at the end of the day. When i drove off, i started hearing a sound coming from the tires. i didn't stop as i had to get home. picked up the car at 530. i was going to movies at 730 with my kids. so i thought ill check the sound when i get home. I checked the tires at home and saw they were completely worn out at the point of wires coming out. i went back to the dealership and was told i had to wait for the service manager Jason to come back from vacation. a week later, this imbecilic Jason started laughing in my face when i asked him if he could do something about this. He told me that i had no credibility at this dealership. we had a shouting match in his office. once i left from there, i got GM canada involved. I was suppose to get a call back from the advisor but weeks passed and nothing. I started tweeting at the GM Canada. That is when someone sent me a message on twitter and said they will look into this. I never got a call from any Customer care advisor to hear my side of the story. Just the messages and pics i shared on twitter. Based off that, after months of rigorous investigation. They came back with the decision that my claim had no merit and i was informed of the worn tires when i picked up the car that day. (no one said a word to me, i was given the key and i left). I spoke to my lawyer after this and he told me get the name of the person who according to GM Canada informed me of the worn tires. I emailed the Customer care advisor asking this info, who didn't reply to my email or voicemails for a few days. When i finally got her on the phone, she didn't know who the person was who informed me of the worn tires. So i guess Gm Canada's investigation consisted of calling the service manager and asking him his side of the story. wait a month and tell the customer the decision. I asked the customer care advisor to get me the name of the person who the dealership claims told me about my worn tires when i picked up the car. She said it's not her problem and i have to call the dealership myself. This dealership is the worst, the service manager Jason is a jealous prick and the whole Boyer group (I emailed each and every one of them regarding this including the General manager of the dealership, but no one bothered reaching out to me). Gm Canada is no better. Useless and horrible customer service. I am going to pursue this in court now. There are other people in the dealership who are really nice like Bill (service advisor). If you ever have to deal with Jason the service manager, keep recording because no one believes you at this dealership or GM Canada for that matter if you don't have video evidence. read more

My 2019 Buick needed the gas pedal replaced just before New Year, I was glad that it was covered under the warranty! Jason Williams, the service Manager was very professional, gave excellent service and got it all sorted out to my satisfaction. We got a great deal on a used car here. The sales staff were desperate to make a deal (it was pouring rain and not too busy, and there was a sale on). They were about as persistant as you can expect used car salespeople to be without being rude, and when we said we were leaving, they let us take the car for the afternoon. They gave me a great deal on the trade-in too, and in the end we walked out with a much better car than we expected to buy, for a just little more than we were intending to pay. All in all, the experience was good, there were complimentary sandwiches and coffee, and we also got a gift card to a local restaurant which turned out to be fantastic. Next car, we will probably go there first. Incidentally, the other local used dealers didn't have nearly as good of an inventory, and they didn't seem to want to make a deal as bad as these guys. I would send my mom there to buy a car and not worry about it. read more

They took my down payment, without my wife signing which was required, and when we were not able to follow through on the purchase they kept my $500. Might be legal, but sure isn't ethical. My wife needed a car, and so did my inlaws in the same month. They lost those sales and all of my future sales. I'll go to Hogan in Sacrborough instead. Hogan gave me an additional $500 discount to make up for Myers poor business ethics. read more

Fourth time of subpar service was the last straw because this time they put my family in danger. REWIND: We needed two diagnostic tests performed, one on the brakes (no big deal, not important) since something felt and sounded off when applying the brake and the other on a constant noise issue in the front. I dropped off the vehicle an hour early and after five hours, which meant it was one hour before closing, we decided to call since we hadn't heard anything. Low and behold NO ONE had even seen the vehicle yet. We said we'd just pick it up at that point and go elsewhere. Upon arriving at the shop, Lisa said 1) it's snow tire season so they're very busy and 2) she was about to get someone to look at it when we called (of course). I have a hard time believing that since it's not our first run in with Lisa's lies. We took it to another dealership and it was informed quickly that the problem was COMPLETELY rusted brakes/rotors with 5 mm left on the front brake pads and 4mm on the rear, which raises so many questions since we just had them serviced at VanDusen in July and NOTHING was mentioned. They were unsalvageable at this point and it's not like our driving habits changed. We realize brakes/rotors need replacing in a vehicles lifetime, but at 64km for a 2015 and going from fine (or so we thought) in July to can't drive off the lot, is where this gets upsetting. The technician at the other Chevrolet dealership/service department said this was not the kind of rust that could have happened over a few months and didn't understand why they would have been serviced at all in July because they were UNSERVICEABLE in his words. Not only do we feel CONNED, but our lives and our children's lives were put at RISK for a few dollars. Who knows how much longer it would have been before they failed and caused an accident. You should never fool around with brakes and when a customer says they're noticing issues with their brakes, snow tire services should come second, NOT first. The subpar service and Lisa's lies are one thing, but I have officially lost trust in VanDusen after 2.5 years of servicing our vehicle with them after initially purchasing it from another New Roads dealership. I am truly baffled as to how so many people are getting 4 and 5 start service and the last four times we've brought our vehicle in we've received terrible service. We only returned after issues 1-3 because the service manager, who is fantastic, tried to right some wrongs. Unfortunately, I think there are more wrongs than what we initially believed. read more

I attended the dealership to discuss a warranty issue I was having with my truck. The issue that I was having required the engine and transmission to be removed. This issue had previously been diagnosed there and they told me it was nothing to be concerned about. When I took it to a shop they told me about the warrenty issue and I needed to go to GM. I was very disappointed to find out that it was tire season and that they would not work on my truck for two weeks. This issue could have left my wife and kids stranded, but appointments that had not been booked took a precedent. I spoke to someone that claimed that they were the General Manager, but did not get anywhere as he would not even listen to my concern, so much so as he was still talking as I was leaving disappointed. I hope that they read this and know that even though they would be the closest dealership to me, I will travel to another city for service. There is a lot of competition in this industry and they should take better care of their clients. Good Luck should you have to take your vehicle to this dealership. read more

Fraud Alert! After taking my vehicle in for some warranty work the service department at this location attempted to convince me, over the phone, to replace my brake system and other items at great cost. According to them by brake pads and rotors were "unsafe" and "rotted and grooved". I declined the phone offer to their dismay and took it to another mechanic for a second opinion. I saw the brakes and rotors first-hand and they were nowhere near the poor condition described on the phone. In fact, the brakes still had a couple of months left in them, and the rotors were shiny and clean (with perhaps 6-8 months left in them). Got another nice surprise upon my return to pick the car up. After leaving instructions of "let me know if you happen to see any leaking fluid, but I do not authorize anything for which there will be a charge", I found that they ended up carrying out what they claim was full inspection of various areas of the vehicle, resulting in sizable charges for each inspection. All I wanted them to do was complete the warranty repair and let me know if they spotted any fluids leaking and I was explicit with my instructions to avoid confusion. Apparently they weren't happy with my refusal to replace my full braking system with their over-the-phone pressure tactics and wanted to earn something extra for their time, because my instructions were ignored and I was blamed for the charges ("But sir, you can't expect us to look for dripping fluid and not charge you something!"). I'm not pleased with this business at all. Caught red-handed trying to pull a fast one, and not even an apology. If you insist upon taking your car here, be very alert to what the service department may try to tell you your car "needs immediately". You might just find yourself on the receiving end of their personal "make work" project that is so common among service departments of their ilk. read more

I put down a deposit on a car, went home and was able to find the car online for over $2000.00 cheaper. I went back in to see if there was anything that could be done with the sticker price before I purchased. I was left to wait for over a half hour and then the salesperson, an older gentleman was extremely rude. I took my deposit back and bought my car elsewhere. These guys are scam artists and salesmen at heart. They do not care about your need and the bottom line seems to be their commission, will never go back read more
