Maple read 23.1% and Oak 21.8% I'm not an expert but I believe that the readings should be 15 to 20% for fully seasoned let alone Kiln dried. I've never experienced issues getting a fire started until I used the wood I purchased from this seller. Not sure what has changed between now and the August 2016 review, but the wood that was delivered to me is not evenly sized, and some pieces are far too large for my fireplace. I purchased wood from Floralscapes on Bordentown Avenue last year. It was definitely more expensive, but, well, it *burned*.

The owner, Steve, generously spent time with us explaining the virtues of each species of wood, and how each type cooks and pairs best with different foods and cooking methods. He was familiar with our pizza oven, and steered us to a different size wood that he thought would perform better in our oven. He was RIGHT ON.
