Don't be shocked when you get gas because they do the pre-charge (hold) for $75.00. That scared me at first because on the gas pump it said $32.81 for my total. They also have a convenience store if you want something to drink or eat.

Aggressively telling me to pull up my car a little more and then when I did immediately going "turn your engine off." He wasn't giving me time to breathe to follow his instructions. I felt like I was being berated by a teacher. He was really rude and I didn't appreciate it at all. It made me question if saving a few cents on gas was even worth it. I don't know if he's overworked or just a rude employee. It was uncalled for. About 90% of the time I get my gas at Costco but I'm going to reconsider if it happens again.

Sixteen years and a full scale renovation later, I worked next door to this place, and I was in three times a day. I could probably have expressed the amount of money I spent in the convenience store as a single digit percentage of my income. Wawa has once again resumed that role in my life, but when I'm in the Freehold area, if I happen to need something this Exxon might sell, I will always make a point of stopping in. The owner is a very nice fellow. The aforementioned convenience store is large and well tended, offers a decent cup of coffee that is never burnt, and features the largest and cleanest single occupant bathrooms you are likely to ever find attached to a gas station. I'd break out the old "eat off the floor" cliche, but I don't usually eat off of floors, and certainly not ones in bathrooms. As for the gas, well, it combusts in my car's engine and seems to be priced competitively, so there isn't much to be said about that. The cash/credit pricing scheme being back in fashion, they are doing that (which I find annoying), but so is almost everybody else these days.

And considering my car still rolls, I suspect the gas is AOK as well. Five fossil fueled stars. My friend in the Tesla will meet us at the restaurant an hour late as soon as he unplugs. Plus, my older commuting car seems to run best when I use Sunoco Ultra over anything else, so I'm locked in. Most Sunoco's will wash your windows for free without being asked. Unfortunately, not this one. Perhaps that's a bonus you get for paying a premium when you buy Sunoco gas on the Turnpike.

The elder Indian-American gentleman and his younger coworker were so very cheery which is a surprise given the usual surly gas station attitude. They were clearly vested in the business as they were fast and attentive to the steady flow of incoming customers. There're neither convenience store nor air pump nor vacuum on site, it's a very small station. It's had many predecessors of many differing brands and so I'm hopeful these cheery owners will find success here. My fill-up over, I paid (actually paid earlier as they card before filling) and was on my merry way. Have a nice day!
