I had the hamburger which was a bit dry but the coleslaw andchips were really good. I'm guessing garlic in the coleslaw . You get a lot of food here so if you're hungry you're not going home disappointed. I should've had the fish and chips instead though which looked much nicer. Next time maybe. The beer was a bit pricey and they tended to of the hipster type, that is lots of pale ales from the States. Nothing wrong with that but just because you have Guinness on tap it doesn't make you an Irish pub. Overall a nice place to hang out in and have a few pints. Liked the atmosphere and the people working at Buddy's were genuinely friendly. I'd have no problem coming back here or recommending the place to my friends.

I liked this bar for a long time but unfortunately, on my last visit, something happened that made me very disappointed. I ordered the second round of my favorite beer and after tasting it I immediately realized that was not what I ordered. To be sure I asked the people at our table to taste the beer. At that moment, we had some beer left from our previous order so we could taste and compare. After doing that, we all agreed that this beer was not the one I ordered. Anyway, when I communicated my complaint to the waiter, he responded that I was wrong and the beer was the same. Although I tried to explain to him that the taste and the color were different but he insisted that I was wrong.... a few minutes later the waiter accompanied by 2 other waiters approached our table and told me (all together and with a loud/bad tone) that I was wrong and this was what I ordered ... As I didn't want to make a scene and ruins everyone's night I told them that it was fine, but I heard one of the waiter imitating me as he went away... As a person with knowledge of the service industry, I found their reaction and their behavior neither customer friendly nor right.... It felt a bit rude, aggressive and ganged up on which is a huge negative point for the service! Ergo, I rated the service of the bar 1 star. Its a nice size, a mix of tall and regular tables, familiar signs and a convivial, cheery Irishman tending bar. Alas I didn't eat, just came for a Bushmill's after dinner elsewhere. The crowd was happy and lively, a pleasant mix of young and old, a bit like the staff, our Irish gent balanced by several young, hipster servers. Excellent Wi-Fi to boot! I was happy at the bar, listening, people-watching and reveling in the good feelings. I'd come again, and I might like this same seat at the bar, above the fray but still included.
