Found this pub in Old Town Stockholm when we went to watch some weekend football matches (European…read morenot American). The pub itself had a good vibe where everyone was friendly and genuinely enjoying themselves. The decor of the pub was a lot of a lot of pub signs and usual things that you would find in a pub. It has a small but pretty cool layout when you could go down some winding stairs and find yourself in another seating area. Because of the pubs popularity and game time it was very packed in the bar area but the bar tender did a good job of attending to everyone. As for the food I enjoyed the fries we had and the vegan burger was alright. As you know my ratings go off of the expectations of how the place rates against similar places so as old school pubs go this was good, but do understand that typical old school pubs aren't well lit, don't have all balanced tables, and great seating in the entire place to enjoy the game. So if you're looking for those things you might want to check out some other places.

You get a lot of food here so if you're hungry you're not going home disappointed. I should've had the fish and chips instead though which looked much nicer. Next time maybe. The beer was a bit pricey and they tended to of the hipster type, that is lots of pale ales from the States. Nothing wrong with that but just because you have Guinness on tap it doesn't make you an Irish pub. Overall a nice place to hang out in and have a few pints. Liked the atmosphere and the people working at Buddy's were genuinely friendly. I'd have no problem coming back here or recommending the place to my friends.

All in all, a very decent meal at a nice restaurant, that gets almost an extra full star for atmosphere. I also didn't get a picture of my plate because it was messy. Someone I was with got a pulled pork burger and the patty looked like it was made hours ago and just sat in the heat. I definitely don't think the food was worth it. For drinks and sports, though, give it a shot!

I don't get it. Maybe it's a lack of availability of the right type of potatoes- large "baking" potatoes- the ones with the drier crumbly texture. The fish and chips is also good, although it has been a little greasy on one or two occasions. Two large fillets of Cod fried in classic English batter, usually done just about right- crisp golden batter coating on the outside, perfectly cooked fish on the inside. Overall, a nice neighbourhood English style pub with good food and beer and friendly service at fair prices. A ten minute walk from home, so very convenient. I feel fortunate that it's around. The bar is small, unassuming and finds itself on a street filled with conspicuous, Italian restaurants hosting happy hours for corporate Swedes. The bar is a standout for the drinks, the trademark Swedish charisma and genuine warmth. As a side, shout out to Sweden for having the nicest, most welcoming people in the world. We were given a standing table when we got in, but quickly moved to a couple of seats by the bar. We were one of 8 couples at the bar, so yes, very date night vibes. For our first round of drinks, we got the Easy Martini and Let them Eat Cake. The latter was too sweet for our liking but the Easy Martini had the perfect amount of sweet and tart. Our second round was the winner with the Girl Dinner and their Old Fashioned. The Girl dinner was crafted to perfection and possibly the best version of a martini we've ever had. The old fashioned too, made with WhistlePig 10 years was fantastic. The service cannot be faulted, we profusely thanked the lovely bartender, vowing to crow about it to whoever cares to listen and to be back when we are in Stockholm next.
