The place is normally quite empty when I go to play and the clientele seem to be 18 year old boys for the most part (and they are well-behaved). The pool tables have seen better days and should probably be refelted, and you should definitely bring your own cue as theirs are warped beyond belief! Staff is difficult to find on occasion.

You can play American pool or regular pool for as long as you want at a set price per hour. I usually go in the middle of a week day with friends and it is completely quiet in there! It's a shame that it doesn't do that much business in the day because the quality of the tables is brilliant! It can get quite busy in the evening but the prices do go up. You usually have to put down a £10 deposit when booking a table but it usually costs £3 an hour but sometimes less. I payed £1.80 for plenty of games! If you have nothing to do in the afternoon and fancy a pool game or five, then Sunny's pool bar is the place to go. They offer a wide variety of drinks and even a choice of some foods. Bargain!

It's a great place to go on any day of the week, though. It tends to get a bit busier from about 8/9 onwards so if you're looking for a relaxing drink I'd say get there early or go to a pub.

This is one of my favourite places to go for music in Cardiff, especially on a Thursday night. They have a regular 'jam session' and you'll be amazed at the variety. But its not cliquey - not by a long shot. She played the Entertainer. Ok, she wasn't brilliant and it was a bit halting, but I've never heard such applause! Everyone in the bar supported her, fully, and there was no judgment. It was like being in a dream, a cultural oasis, a picture of how society should be. Oh, and did I mention the covers bands? This pub was my local before I moved to Cardiff and it's got the best staff and atmosphere in any pub in Bridgend in my opinion. They always have stuff on, whether it's live music or pub quizzes or karaoke. It's mainly older people in here but it's never jam packed to the point that you become overwhelmed and depressed by the ravages of age as you're trying to enjoy a pint. The food here changes every day and they have curry days, carveries and other themed days on differing nights of the week. The food here is really well prepared and well priced too. One of the best pubs in Bridgend on a Friday and Saturday, it can get a little dead during the week. If you want a chat with a few friends it's ideal. If you're looking for a wild night out and you're under 40, perhaps head into town!
