Brackers, my home. Brackers Sports Centre, a place I have been to for years, and many times for various events. Discos, a drink at the bar (why?!), swimming, using their gym (yes I have been to a gym before!), I've been waxed here before. I took swimming classes here from the age of 9 and when I grew up, I came here to take their classes. My mum goes here several times a week to Keep Fit. It's cheap, it's basic, it stinks of chlorine. I love it! Unlike other gyms and sports centres around here, you pay a small members fee and then get a great discount on the classes and entry. It makes the cost manageable and actually affordable for people with large families. Everything is basic, and service is pretty crap, but you get what you pay for. Just a note, if your date takes you to the bar here, dump him... now! read more

The sports centre is very central and has 3 swimming pools, sauna, gym, cafe and hairdressers. It has a big sports hall and has many activities going on. They have Cage fighting, Christmas parties and massive parking! The staff are always friendly and informative and the prices are good. read more

The sports centre is easy to get to within the town by road or walking/cycling. It has 3 swimming pools, a heated shallow one for the babies and toddlers, a general adult one, and then a serious swimmers one. The changing rooms are always clean and they have plenty of big family sized ones. I also like that they have lockers for pushchairs to fit in, a real bonus if you're walking to the centre with children. They also have a good work out room which is well equipped, sauna, jacuzzi and loads of other sports. Whoosh is also in the centre which is a soft play centre for babies and children. read more
