I am just now finding he emotional strength to write this review. I moved from Missouri to…read moreCharlotte (more than a 12 hour drive), lived in a hotel with my daughter to ensure that she started school on time with the anticipation to close on a beautiful new home within a week of my move---- based off of a 99% approval guarantee from this loan officer. Not only did he share this with confidence with me but the Sellers and my agent--in which we loss a lot of money and time off of this 99% commitment. Although he was very arrogant and demanding that I let him do his job through the entire process, I trusted his commitment on closing the loan. I found out a day before close, while living in a hotel and daughter enrolled in school that he could not do the loan. I understand loans get denied, but the reason for our loan denial was over something that he should of known months ago- and we could of closed this contract without losing any Due Diligence money or even attempted a new lender. This was devastating to my entire family, however what was even more disappointing is that he contacted the Sellers agent and placed blame on ME to justify his inability to close us. I found out he shared my personal financial information with the Sellers agent--which is a violation of fiduciary duties. I was outraged because not only did the Sellers agent know of personal info abut me, but that they were told lies --that caused them to question my character and commitment to the buying process. I was hurt when I realized that George Wise in an effort to defend himself for not being able to close after continuously claiming a 99% confidence deal, he created false information against me to the Sellers to save face in the real estate market. The only reason I found out was because our agent learned of it through a conversation with an angry Sellers agent. I thank God for my agent for disclosing this information and for protecting me- Kudos to Mr. Gerald! What was sad is that not only did we not get the house we worked so hard for, but we loss all possibilities of ever getting the home. George denied telling the Sellers agent anything about my loan when confronted- the question is how did they know anything about my finances, and why would they lie on my character--- they had worked just as hard as we did to sell their home? I reported his unethical behavior to his broker and i requested that they repay me my due diligence loss and the company did nothing to help me recover from this. I DO NOT RECOMMEND GEORGE WISE or SUMMIT FUNDING to anyone because of the lack of integrity and client trust displayed.. It took 6 months for me to recover from this emotionally and financially--but through the GRACE of God, my family and I was still able to find us a home and find our peace.
