The confirmation text told me I could have a second piece of exercise equipment serviced for $40. I have a 10-year-old treadmill that I was planning to replace soon, though it still worked, but I decided to get it serviced as well. A week before they were scheduled to come, Huff-n-Puff called to say they had a repair person who could come that day if it was convenient. It was. I couldn't have been happier with the service. Justin Powell arrived wearing a mask, took his shoes off when he came in, and was exceptionally professional and pleasant. He removed the rag and spent a good 40 minutes completely cleaning and tuning up the treadmill. Then he worked on the older treadmill, again doing a full-scale cleaning and tune-up. I was amazed that he was able to make it look and work like a new machine! In a nutshell: the office person who set up the appointment was very helpful; the appointment and detailed information about what they would do were confirmed via email (and text). The service technician provided better service than I thought was possible. The cost was extremely reasonable. They provided a detailed receipt. First-rate service all around. Also, Huff-n-Puff offers $130 off a new piece of equipment at Johnson Fitness, which I took advantage of.

I was looking for advice on a source for a motor control unit for our 12 year old washer; a recommendation on whether to buy a refurbished or new unit from a variety of online vendors. I had determined the part needed through Whirlpool customer service, online research, and watching YouTube repair videos, and was certain I could replace the unit myself. Curt confirmed the part was most likely what was needed, told he only supplied OEM parts, and agreed the replacement was not difficult for anyone mechanically inclined. He informed of the cost for ordering through him, and credited the core charge ($60) prior to my committing to bring the old part back. I thought about the cost and checked online again, but called back to place the order prior to 4:00 that afternoon and had the part installed the next afternoon. Curt was extremely easy to deal with, was very knowledgeable, efficient, and trusting as he left it for me to pickup w/o prior payment. I would highly recommend Curt and A-1 for any appliance repair needs!

It has been over 2 months since they came and completely misdiagnosed the issue with my oven, asked for money to order parts and started us on the most awful experience with a repair company ever. 2 days after giving them a check for $500.00 we found out the issue they said we have was WRONG. When we asked for our money back, they did not return calls, or messages until we used a phone they did not recognize. They said several times they sent the money but they never did. They need to be put out of business, they are cheating customers. Read reviews posted elsewhere. Similar stories. Taking them to small claims court and reporting them to Better Business Bureau. STAY CLEAR, there are legitimate and good appliance repair companies out there. This is not one of them.

He came the same day, looked at the unit, required we pre-pay $350 for the part. He deposited the check within 24 hours but did not follow up about when he would be returning to do the job. Several days pass and he did not reply to my several texts and phone messages. He does eventually show up, works on the washer for an hour & then says he accidently broke something & that he has to get another part. Several days pass with no follow up from him, no response to several texts & phone messages (see a pattern here?). Feb. 6 he shows up to our house, leaves without fixing it, texts me that he will "keep me informed in the next hour." 5 days pass with no word from him, no responses. Finally hear from him that he will stop in on Feb. 11. He never shows up. He has ghosted us since & won't refund our $350. Sound ethical?
