They advertise as movers but can do lots of other stuff. I got them to hang 2 IKEA lack shelves which have a reputation of being a hassle to put up. They arrived on time, got the shelves up quickly with no mess or disruption and everything went off without a hitch. The 2 men who did the job were super friendly and courteous and even helped me carry a treadmill inside from the garage (too heavy for me) before they left for the day. They reply quickly and have very competitive pricing. I will definitely be using them again when I have another job at home or if I ever need moving services!

When I was doing my research, I originally was ready to go with Frogbox and then I found out there would be an extra charge to pick up from Aurora. So glad for that extra charge because I did more research and found out not only does City Boxes pick up from Aurora, they would cost less and allow me more time to have them! As everyone else has said Andrew is THE BEST. Customer service is in his DNA and of everyone we dealt with for the move, his friendliness and helpfulness simply blew us away. I should also add that the 6 guys from the moving company doing our move ALL said they prefer the dimensions of CityBoxes over frog boxes. They said they are easier to carry - because professional movers don't carry boxes the way the average person does. Andrew and the City Boxes website keep saying take more than you need - DO IT. Boris and Eddie were humble and pleasant people to deal with. I had a tight schedule with the elevators between two buildings and was really worried we wouldn't be able to get everything done in the time slot. But, they were efficient and got everything done 20 minutes early. Left them a big tip as a result. What I look for are, honest, hard working people that listen seriously and care about their business and that's the experience I got. Unfortunately, this second experience was very disappointing. 1. Damaged Furniture & Missing Parts During the move, my table was damaged and several screws went missing. I was away in Asia at the time, so my boyfriend had to handle everything with the movers. When I returned, I found the table broken and incomplete. When I raised this issue with the company, they responded that none of their workers recalled causing any damage. They also said that since more than 10 days had passed, there was nothing they could do, which I find completely unacceptable. 2. Incomplete Work (Door Not Reinstalled) They also removed a door because it was in the way, but did not reinstall it afterward, which caused unnecessary inconvenience. 3. Extra Cost & Time Due to Their Issue In addition, I was clearly told over the phone that two trucks would be provided. However, only one truck showed up on the day, and they later claimed it wasn't written in the agreement, so nothing could be done. Because of this, the move took significantly longer than it should have. This also forced my boyfriend to rent a U-Haul and complete part of the move himself. On top of that, even though the delay was caused by their failure to provide the agreed number of trucks, they still charged by the hour.
