Ahmed and his partner arrived a few minutes early which was very helpful and they worked efficiently and were very careful when handling my furniture and boxes and other items like lamps. Moving between condos means having only so much elevator time and they completed the move within the time allotted. This is truly a company that cares and is always willing to help.I had a problem with opening a couple of drawers in one of my dressers - it's an older solid wood one - and I contacted Pari at the office and asked she knew of anyone who might be able to help. She responded immediately and sent someone over to check it out the very next day. Ahmed came and examined and studied the dresser and worked until he finally figured out the problem. The problem seemed to be a result of the extra humidity in my new place which caused the wood to expand just enough to cause a issue. After Ahmed's help, the drawers now open and shut as they should. A lot of companies might just feel that once the move was complete their job was done but Great Toronto Movers went above and beyond the call of duty to help. And I should mention the pricing. The pricing is very fair and you know exactly how the pricing is structured and there are no hidden fees - something I discovered that many moving companies have - but not Great Toronto Movers. I can't say enough positive things about how wonderful Andrew and his team were! But here were some of my favorite things: * The company is more affordable than the majority of others we considered. What's more, they actually came in UNDER their quote on moving day, and lowered the price for us accordingly. * With other moving companies in the past, I have felt constantly on edge: worried that they would take advantage of us, worried that they would be careless with our stuff, etc. Andrew and his team were the opposite: they were SO kind, genuine, friendly, open, and careful! They were professional and efficient, and also truly enjoyable to be around on the day of the move. All of the movers were genuinely lovely people and did a fantastic job wrapping, protecting, and moving our furniture and other belongings. * Their plastic moving boxes are a godsend. You don't have to spend a zillion hours assembling and then breaking down a ton of cardboard, and don't produce all that trash. Their kitchen boxes were especially great - rather than taking countless hours to individually wrap each cup, plate, etc., we just placed them- unwrapped! - directly into the boxes (which have special slots) and they came out unscathed. They called me ahead of time to ask if they can deliver earlier than schedule and they were simply super respectful and cheery on the phone - which is the kind of calls you want to get early morning :-). It's not very frequent that you come across people delivering products who seem to enjoy what they do. They delivered a sectional sofa and they were very careful to navigate the pieces to ensure they don't damage anything. They asked politely if they can wash their hands as they rather not dirty the sofa. I think their names are Tim and Lucas if I remember correctly. Disappointed with this service. I had several shelves/ mirrors/ pictures put on the wall by the…read morecompany. The floating shelves in the washroom were hung flimsy and became unsafe- the nails popped out within a couple of weeks. The shelves are decorative with no weight on them at all. I called the company back and asked for a follow up visit. When Arthur came the second time, I showed him that the nails were easily coming out of the walls in all three shelves. His reply was that this was fine and as long as there is no weight on the them, the nails will hold the shelves on the wall. I informed him that since this was the children's washroom, I was concerned that the shelves will fall and injure one of them. With that, Arthur immediately rehung the shelves with sturdy and safe hardware. Overall, I found the service unfriendly and expensive for the lack of quality it offers.
