They have a great selection of discs in their pro shop and they even have an area where you can enjoy a snack, soda or adult beverage! Stacked with baskets dancing on the edge of the lake, riddled with wooden area, long and open drives, murders of geese and even a fortress of bamboo. Each time is different weather conditions and they make for different levels of play. The landscape is absolutely breathtaking. Beautiful lake, huge trees, well-manicured fields. All make for an advanced level of play and scenic views. Often, we have gone with friends and some of us go to play and others join to just walk along the course. It's such a beautiful facility, you really can just enjoy the views without even picking up a disc. The only downside to this course is that the direction, starting point and course map are not clearly laid out. You'll have to google or check out one of the disc golf websites for further direction on where to start. We've ended up making our own course out of the available baskets. Some can be pretty hard to find, too. Also, there aren't bathrooms around the course, so go beforehand if need be! Happy disc golfing!

We also checked out the dog part and it was huge too. There's sooooo much space for dogs to run. My dog ran his lil heart out and had a blast. There seemed to be plenty of parking too, but we came at a non busy time so I wonder how it looks on a busy weekend. I loved my time here!!

Tactfully situated in between the baseball and soccer fields, there is every type of hole you can think of. Bradford Park was built to host the world's in 2012. It also has a very nice feature, in that you have the choice to play the full 18 (which will take you a while) or to simply loop around for a quick 9 hole experience. There have been a few changes made to it since it's inception for the better. On a side note, bring some discs you aren't afraid of loosing, as there are plenty of places for them to disappear.

The disc golf course is a fun 18-hole course that weaves in and out of trees and up and down valleys. You definitely get a work out in as you play.

Beautiful park with something for everyone…read more We had a great time here with our toddler. I especially enjoyed the stroller friendly path most of which was paved. The path also went down by the river allowing easy access for us to walk down and watch my son throw rocks and enjoy the shallow water. The playground is very nice and well maintained. There are toddler swings and big kid swings. Lots of opportunities to climb and slide. Picnic tables are available throughout the park. If you walk along the path a bit there are some right by the water. Men's and women's restrooms in the baseball center and lots of easy parking.

I have friends that have plots and speak highly of this place. Came here today for a run. Connects well with Montreat college campus. Very safe and great trails-one main one through the park but tons nearby. Busy but not overwhelming- there were a lot of families and individuals here. There are tables and plenty of green space. Loving that water and can't wait to see it in summer! Disc golf here too. Nice parking and plenty of space for all.

Horizons Park, located off Germanton Road in Rural Hall is one of the best disc golf courses you…read morewill find. This 18 hole course, complete with concrete tee boxes, accurate distance markers and free course cards is one of the best kept secrets in town. The grounds are well kept - leaves are raked in the fall, grass is cut all summer, and tee boxes are clean. The baskets are sturdy and level. Easy enough to not embarrass beginners, but plenty of challenge for tournament golfers to play under par. I've played quite a few courses in my day - from New England to Florida, California to Washington, and Horizons is one of the three best courses I've ever played. It gets crowded on beautiful weekend days, but never so much that you have to wait. Grab a disc and head on over. 5 stars for a top notch public park.
