They refuse to answer why we are the only ones being evicted. We are also the only black tenants in the building which we feel was definitely a factor. We met Jesus (and his team) and the subtle dismissiveness was obvious. ‼But this is the most worrying part: ‼ During our most recent inspection of the building, I asked Jesus's realtor (Jesse Macias, who worked very closely with Jesus Perez) "What were the plans for the new owners?" and he looked me directly in the eye and said "I dont know", Just to end up knocking on my door and serving my pregnant wife with a 30 day eviction letter the very next week. Jesus Perez (new owner) and Jesse Macias(realtor) definitely knew but decided not to tell us until the sale went through. ‼This is extremely unethical, we are a family of 4 and now we have to move in 30 days.‼ Before you ask, we are very upstanding tenants, we have been in the building longer than the other tenants, and have NEVER been late on rent, we keep the place clean, we took EVERYONES garbage to the street every week, we were quiet, and we have 2 kids who goto school in the area. Mind you my wife is pregnant and this is the middle of the school year. We were literally the example of good neighbors. We have no way of fighting this and we are left alone with no help to find a new home within 30 days . In conclusion, Anyone who is using Jesus Perez's services, should know he will withhold crucial information if it helps him. Which is extremely alarming and unethical for a landlord and an attorney.
