I downshifted from third to second and limped her, very slowly, as she was barely moving, to the pull off where the summer produce is sold on Route 250, just beyond Wood's. I was upset; (stunned/shocked). I am an AAA Premier member, and they would have towed, without charge, however, since AAA subcontracts, the nearest tow would have been coming from Jane Lew, WV. I was not going to wait over an hour, by myself, in the dark for the tow from Jane Lew. I was stressed to begin with. I called MJ Towing, (Chipp's Auto on Route 73 uses MJ Towing) excellent choice. MJ Towing arrived in approximately ten minutes. I realize that if he had been on another call or finishing one up, it would have taken longer. He got Unhappy Honda secured onto the flat bed and then asked me how I was getting home. I had been trying to call my friends but could not reach anyone. I could not call my husband, because he is 95% deaf and could not hear me on the phone. I sat in MJ truck while driver (owner I believe) filled out paperwork and I paid for the tow (excellent and very fair tow price) while I kept trying to call my friends. He said that he could not leave me there "stranded" where did I live - I told him and he dropped me off in front of my house. At my request, he took Unhappy Honda to Chipp's Auto Repair. MJ Towing is beyond compare. MJ Towing 304-363-8585. Put this # in your glove box, phone, etc. MJ Towing driver was professional, friendly, helpful. It was a young girl who just got her license and was involved in a accident. They wanted 600 the next day to give her the car back. We asked for a itemized bill explaining the charges and was told that we could not have one until she paid the 600. Then they said if she couldn't pay the 600 the other option was to pay them 300 and give them the title in order to get her personal belongings out of the car. When I told him that is illegal he hung up on us. I am turning them in to the better business bureau. They should be ashamed of trying to rob young kids. They are a disgusting company.​

They towed the car to their lot and they wanted my neices to pay them $900 and sign over the title of the car for the tow fee. She was not allowed to get her belongings from the car twice unless she paid them $900 and signed over the title. She had to get the state police involved to get her belongings from the car. She did sign the title to the car over to them but they are now taking her to court for $900! They take advantage of women or others that do not know this practice is not legal under the Public Service Commission guidelines for a towing business or any other business that operate under a certificate of need. These people are nothing but thugs and very bad business people who break the law and make legitimate towing companies look bad. They are an embarrassment to the towing and recovery industry and have a long track record of violations. Worst company by far that I have ever seen in 50 years of being in the towing industry.

I had a WONDERFUL experience with DJ (Mobile Repair Tech). I called Hillbilly Towing for locked up…read moretrailer brakes and DJ was on-site within 30 mins. Figured out the issue quickly and did his best to get our trailer back on the road. The part had to be ordered which did delay the repair but I hold no fault on DJ or Hillbilly Towing for this. DJ stayed in contact with me thru the entire repair process. We come to the area regularly and will be using Hillbilly again if we have any issues!
