For the last 30+ years, Frank has been THE guy my parents call when they have car problems. His…read moreprices are reasonable; his work is thorough; and he won't cheat you. In 2001 I was in the midst of a 2-year stretch of unemployment when my car started randomly shutting off. I took it to a dealership in DC. They told me that electrical problems are really hard to diagnose, and that it would probably be a minimum of 3 hours labor at $90 an hour plus whatever parts were needed on top of that. I told the guy at the dealership I couldn't afford that and that I would rather take it to Frank's in WV. The guy kindly showed me the fuse that kept blowing and how to change it. So I bought a box of fuses and headed to Fairmont, stopping every few miles to swap in a new fuse when the fuse blew and the engine died. I made it to Grantsville MD before it died completely. I called AAA to tow me the rest of the way to Frank's driveway. The next day Frank called me at my parents' house to say that a stick had gotten stuck in the cooling fan, which created a short and killed the engine every time the cooling fan kicked in. No charge. That's the kind of guy Frank is. There is one caveat: Frank's not a young man anymore, and he is semi-retired: if you need a fix fast, you should probably look elsewhere. But if time is not an issue, and you want a fair and honest diagnosis and estimate, and a low cost, high quality auto repair, Frank is your guy.
