Definitely worth every penny! I have been suffering from neurological issues for several years. Therapy, medication and doctors have not been able to help much. Blessed Sleep! The impact of the neurofeedback on my sleep has been profound. With great sleep, I am functioning in life at a higher capacity , thinking better, remembering better, and able to get lots of different things accomplished. I also notice an improved, overall sense of well-being, especially when stressed. It was something unexpected. I was sick for a couple of weeks and struggling with coughing at night, etc., so I went in for a tune-up when I recovered. It worked that night with amazing success. Truly life-changing! The brain performance center has been a gift to our family. We had four family members go through the process, so I have a lot to share... We first learned of them through a friend at school and I immediately brought my 10 year old daughter in for a brain map. When I saw it, my heart broke. But [[HIGHLIGHT]]Brian was so caring and empathetic. He took the time to explain everything and answer each and every question we had.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He was able to identify the many issues that she was struggling with, which we didn't understand (including her sleep issues, anxiety and ADHD). [[HIGHLIGHT]]My daughter loved all 40 of her sessions. She enjoyed the process and looked forward to seeing the Brain Performance family every time she went in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A very interesting side note: Brian brought our attention to something else he saw in her brain map and recommended a sinus CT for our daughter. This discovery led us to the root cause of a respiratory issue that she had been wrestling with for years. She had been in and out of the ER and Urgent Cares, seen countless doctors and continued to dread the next common cold that would start the cycle again... and it is all behind us. Her life is forever changed in the best way possible by the Brain Performance team. My 8 year old son was up next. As soon as Brian saw his brain map, he knew there was a vision issue (and which eye it was) as well as where my son had suffered a concussion when he was younger. 20 sessions later and my son is seeing 20/20 for the first time in his life while wearing his glasses. The eye doctor was shocked. (He has been wearing glasses since he was 2 years old for his lazy eye.) His brain map is clear, his sleep is much better and so is his impulse control! Now my husband was skeptical when my kids went in for brain mapping. They had only just started their neurofeedback sessions so we hadn't yet seen the progress, but I was able to get him in for a brain map. Sorry, this will be long. I've never been more grateful to be able to avail myself of a health-promoting modality. My journey with Brain Performance Center is already proving to be life-changing for me. I never realized I have *anxiety* since I don't get panic attacks. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon reviewing my initial brain map with the awesome Bryan Hixson (who is brilliant and kind), I realized for the first time why I experience a lot of symptoms that I do.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I always knew I was "high-strung" (just ask my husband) and also quick to trigger (especially when it comes to my oldest daughter, who is an expert at pushing my buttons). I even started getting heart palpitations (I think that's what they are?) in the last couple of years. That is just my baseline. That is almost completely gone since undergoing neurofeedback sessions at BPC. I had a constant tightness in my chest, that is/was my norm. I feel like a fist is slowly unclenching as my brain rewires itself, I'm not sure how else to explain it. I feel more peaceful. I had no idea why I was the way I was but looking at my map and learning how my brain and body was trying to compensate just to make it...it all made sense. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Bryan told me "this is probably the first time your brain has seen itself" and that I probably didn't even know that my experience was different than "normal" because how can you know what's different if this is your only frame of reference[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] (he was more articulate than that, I'm paraphrasing). I actually teared up with sympathy for myself, my poor brain, validation, I'm not sure what. I have tried SO MANY THINGS to address this and nothing worked, until now. The part that is most noticeable for me on a day-to-day basis is my stressful morning routines with my kids. As a conscientious parent, I have read books and taken workshops about communicating with kids, becoming a calm parent, etc., but all the techniques in the world really don't help when you can't realize you need to take a breath and step away...until after it's too late and you've become totally emotionally dysregulated. And lost your...you know what. And I was always very conscious of "this is not the behavior I want to be modeling for my kids"...but in those moments when my brain was going into fight-or-flight mode, it feels hopeless. When you start to understand exactly what happens when certain parts of the brain are over-activated and how that corresponds to resulting behaviors, it all falls into place (and good news is, you don't have to understand or get into the neurophysiology of it all for it to be effective, I just prefer to because I have a medical background and find it fascinating). And I understood from a cognitive, medically-inquisitive level before that, but felt powerless to change the way I'm wired. How do you change how your brain is wired? Honestly, here's the answer. We actually have the technology. I'm not even done with my treatments and I am already more able to take a deep breath and implement all the strategies I tried to implement before. This is one way that my journey with BPC is helping me to be a better mom, a better wife, better friend, and better to myself. And that sends ripple waves into the world that impact everyone. I want to show up for my kids as the best version of myself, and BPC is helping me do that. Full disclosure, the one downside is that once you realize the potential of this, you lament that everyone you love is not availing themselves of it (and maybe also people you don't love...lol). I realize that this is not accessible to everyone, and that's a shame because it should be. If this is at all accessible to you, or there is a way it could be, I urge you to start with a brain map and go from there. Try this first. Upgrading the brain's pathophysiology should be the first step in addressing all these things that so many of us grapple with for ourselves and our kids, and our aging parents (so yeah basically, ALL of us). Unfortunately many of us come to this journey as a last step, after pouring untold money, time, and wasted hope into countless other modalities (and some of those modalities will be more effective, once we change the brain's pathophysiology). I wish we could all start here first. I am so beyond grateful that this technology exists and specifically the family that runs it with their expertise and enormous hearts. [[HIGHLIGHT]]And also while I'm at it, all the staff who work there are top notch, just warm and caring and knowledgeable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They work with professional sports players and celebrities and just regular moms like me, and we all get the best care and treatment. I am nowhere near done with my journey at BPC and am already blown away. I had to take a moment to let people know, who might be on the fence or just learning of this. Please look into it. This place is magic! Suddenly, my son started developing very active facial tics at age five. A Neurologist surprising said it was normal, I wanted a better answer. So I took my pediatricians advice and had him do neurofeedback at the Brain Performance Center. His tics plummeted significantly, but occasionally flared. Dr. Bryan Hixson (who is amazing and brilliant) did extra research and directed me to try a supplement that could assist in the long term. And it did! I am so happy my son didn't need medication or injections to solve this problem. I even decided to get brainmapped myself and found out my sleep pattern never finished the cycle and that's why I was tired all the time. After decades of feeling sluggish, taking naps, and lots of coffee, I finally wake up with energy excited to start my day. And a lot more productive. It took 20 sessions to get here, each 30 minutes long. It's transformed my life. Another major perk is the staff. My wife and I learned about Brain Performance Neurofeedback Center thru a lot of internet research. Our goal was to help our 10 year old daughter with focus, and the ability to handle her emotions better. While visiting the West Los Angeles office where our daughter was receiving her inital scan I decided to spend my time reading the BPNC pamphlet in the waiting room. During that time I mentioned to my wife that this might really help me out as well. I suffer/suffered from ADHD, Anxiety, Addiction and migraine headaches. We decided that I should also have an initial scan done and am I glad I did. My daughter completed 30 sessions of therapy following her first scan and boy were we pleasantly surprised. Our daughter is thriving. Her focus is incredible, her emotional outburts are milder and shorter, and her ability let go is nothing less than remarkable. She doesnt fidgit anymore while reading and is more engaged even when somthing isn't as interesting as she would like it to be. Now to ME...I have also completed 30 sessions of therapy and my life has changed since about session 4. Since July of last year about a week into my therapy I was able to stop taking my anxiety and depression medication after 7 years. My temper and ability to handle stress is that of a healthy 50 year human being. I have lessened my drinking by about 90% which has led to a better home life, more energy, and almost never get a migraine. I'm 30. I've spent more than two decades suffering with depression, anxiety, OCD--the works, more than a decade in therapy, and a little over a year on an intensive program consisting of good ol' fashioned talk therapy, OCD therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and medication management. The intensive has been life changing, but it wasn't until adding neurofeedback to the mix that I could implement all the new tools and skills I learned. Neurofeedback was the missing puzzle piece, and I couldn't imagine doing it anywhere other than BPC. First off, they should be charging a million dollars a session. Having said that, I wasn't working at the time and couldn't commit to full treatment, so I was able to go on a payment plan. Their generosity doesn't stop here. You pay for 20 sessions, they throw in an extra 10 for good measure, and if you don't see significant results after 30, they will offer an unlimited amount of neurofeedback sessions until your brain map shows healthy activity. This genuine care in the well-being of their clients vs. seeing only dollar signs is too rare these days. Needless to say, I highly recommend BPC and neurofeedback. It didn't make my problems disappear (nothing can), but it got my brain firing at the healthy level to tackle life's woes, come what may. read more

I really went into this quite skeptical with my 7y/o son who was having weekly meltdowns, trouble regulating his emotions, various attention and sensory issues, and burgeoning anxiety issues. To say we've seen a turnaround from nearly all of these issues is an understatement; he is far more resilient, content and much less anxious. He takes less prodding to move from one task to the next, his focus has improved, and his sensory aversions seem to have calmed notably. I am left in awe over this experience. Thank you to everyone at Brain Performance Center of Southern California. I was experiencing prolonged neurological effects from COVID that lasted for over a year. A QEEG at the center confirmed that a part of my brain had been impacted by COVID and the diagnosis was exactly what I had been experiencing. Ten targeted Neurofeedback sessions healed the issue and my brain function is back to pre-COVID, honestly a bit better. Everyone at the center is professional, knowledgeable and patient. Very unsafe covid precautions here. No one wears a mask. The technician refused but finally gave in and said - "if thats a thing". The front desk receptionist said "covid isn't that bad". I had young kids with me so was very surprised at how relaxed everyone was here about covid. I would find a more safer place to go to. read more

My son was having horrible withdrawal symptoms after his doctor tapered him too quickly off his antidepressant. He developed intrusive thoughts that were very frightening for him. He was unable to drive, go to movies, or do any of the things he has enjoyed his whole life. He couldn't go places because of anxiety and the fear of being triggered and having more intrusive thoughts. I heard about neurofeedback from a woman who also suffered with intrusive thoughts.
