I'm giving it 3 stars because I like the unique items but when I tried it one time with a friend only two girls were working and they talked to the one girl talked to the people in front of us for 20 mins before taking our order which kinda upset me. I'm too scared to go in there since if I'm in a hurry and on the run for work or an appointment. I wish ai consistently knew my order would be ready in a reasonable time and I wouldnt be ignored....then I would give it a try again. read more

I'm not a fan. Coffee was bitter. I drink coffee at a roastery in my home town. I think the beans are over cooked? My wife's Latte was also bitter. There not even sure how long their coffee will last if you buy it by the pound. Hope they will see this as a constructive. Gave them three stars for hope. read more

Visited from Colorado, and plan on stopping in every morning of our trip. Thankful to find good craft coffee in the area. Tried a slew of espresso drinks and single origin coffees all roasted in house, and they were seriously all delicious. The Rwanda is my favorite house Coffee so far. Knowledgeable and friendly staff who care enough to actually deliver drinks to our table (simple thing that I think shows dedication to customer service.) In the midst of a strip mall, this is a nice little coffee shop, one holding the traditions against the McStarbux nonsense. I got a very good cup of (as I recall) Central American coffee, a medium/light roast. The staff was friendly and considerate, and the coffee was far better than the dreck you'd get at national chains. read more

Within the last week I bought a 12oz Kenya AA bean coffee. It seems OK but taste old anyway, I was charged ohio sales tax. I asked the 20 something tall male that I have never paid tax on whole bean coffee, he told me the coffee is taxed, I bought it because , well maybe its a new tax but I researched the issue and can not find any new law taxing whole bean coffee. If this is an illegal tax this it goes in the pocket of branch street coffee, its not right is it? read more

Great independent coffee place owned by one of the friendliest, most interesting guys you'll ever meet. Matt is passionate about the craft of roasting, which takes place right in front of the shop, so obviously the beans are fresh! BSC is a hipster coffee shop in a blue collar town. It definitely has a young, coffee loving type of clientele and staff. The coffee is their passion. And it shows from first sip to last. My only negative is the lack of pastries. And that is the only reason for not giving them a full 5 stars. read more

Located in a strip mall, the interior is warmly inviting and somewhat a contrast from what the exterior would suggest. Branch Street Coffee Roasters is a local independently owned business. Just the sort of place I enjoy supporting. The owner and staff were very friendly and pointed us in the direction of some of the other excellent locally owned businesses in the area. For their recommendation of the bakery which I will cover in another review, I will always be grateful! I ordered hot chocolate. It was flavored by cocoa from a local chocolatier. If you're going anywhere within 25 miles of this place for coffee, you deserve better. I've been to coffee joints all around the area and in plenty of other states and nothing quite compares to the expertise or product provided at Branch Street coffee roasters. Beans are sourced directly from the farmers and roasted in house for optimum freshness, the staff is all knowledgeable about the offerings. The menu is filled with very traditional items, and there's a bevy of milk and scratch made flavored syrup options to spice things up. Let's talk about the syrups for a minute, their flavors are seasonal and very inventive and whimsical, like brown sugar and blood orange (my current favorite). The place has a modern asthetic and is inviting enough that you won't mind sticking around to make some new friends. If you're not sure what you want, the staff will steer you in the right direction. I think the highlight of this place are their espresso based drinks, I'm sure it's a combination of machine, bean blend and staff, but there's something magical about the espresso here, it's somehow bright and deep at the same time, all without being too bitter or astringent. If hot coffee ain't your cup of tea, they have cold brew on tap as well as bottles of it to go. If coffee isn't your cup of tea, there's tea! There's an iced matcha laté that'll put a smile on your face, and the selection of whole leaf offerings is enough variety to scratch the itch. Beans and tea are also available to take home with you. And just in case you're wondering what you'll do with the bag of beans you just bought, Branch street also sells all the equipment you'll need to make it at home. These products were selected specifically to help the home barista make the best possible cup. Great local place. nice vibe, great music, but not so loud that you can't concentrate on whatever else you're doing. I always get a vanilla latte and it is consistently perfect. they have muffins and pastries that someone makes for them, and they are always good. free wifi. very friendly service, and they remember you if you come back. it's in a strip mall on a major highway, convenient location. closer to me than starbucks, and better atmosphere. you can also buy their coffee to go, whole beans or ground.
