I reached out to Brandon through a message on yelp on a Friday afternoon and within 5 minutes he gave me a call. We briefly spoke about my decision to relocate, how I would be completely new to the area, and my unfamiliarity with the greater Sacramento area. He asked if we could set up a formal zoom call to go over the details of what I was looking for and my position in the lending approval process and we set the meeting for same day evening. Our conversation started with an overview of the market. Working with a limited budget and single mom income, I was a little nervous to hear about where my position would be in this market, however that specific conversation only gave me more confidence. Not because it opened more options for me, but because it allowed me to be realistic with my goals. After that, Brandon gave me an entire step by step overview of how the home buying process goes. He broke it down in such a way that it was clear enough, that throughout this entire duration I didn't really need to ask what the next steps were because Brandon had explained it to me so well from the very beginning. The final part of our conversation was Brandon asking me what it is I was looking for in my home as well as how long I had seen myself being in this home. Brandon also gave me a brief overview of Roseville, Rocklin, Antelope, and Lincoln, which were all locations I felt would be a good fit for myself and my son. He was even able to chime in with his personal experiences living in those communities with his family which helped with perspective. This conversation took about an hour, but time flew, and it just felt so nice to know that Brandon would give me a last minute hour of his time on a Friday night. The following day, Brandon set me up with a portal where I could view homes that met my criteria. I began viewing homes the next week when I would be in town. Brandon worked with my availability and even video chatted me a home tour when I was interested in a property but couldn't be physically there to view it. I was able to view about 10-12 different homes within a two-week time span, until I found the one that I felt was a perfect fit. Behind the scenes, I had been working with a lender for three months to get approved and had an amount I was told I could offer. As the rates began to increase, I got the unfortunate news that my approval amount had become less by nearly $25K. Feeling completely defeated after setting my sights on the perfect home, Brandon called me immediately and asked if we could explore using a trusted and very experienced lender he had been working with for years, Keith Collins with Movement Mortgage. I sent all my gathered documentation over to his team, completed the application, and got the approval amount we needed almost immediately- would HIGHLY recommend the KC team (separate review to come)! I will never forget the moment he called me to tell me the offer got accepted. I didn't just feel like I did it, I felt like WE did it. After the offer was accepted on Friday, Brandon organized inspections for the following Monday. Things were quickly moving. While I was working on Lending Forms, Brandon took care of any home related concerns (got electrical fixed). Overall, this entire process could not have gone smoother (even with the lending hiccup) and I know I have Brandon to thank for that. He makes himself available and calls as needed which I prefer over continuous threads of texts.
