Very disappointed with this service. I had called a month previously to set-up an appointment as a Texas Legal member for prenuptial contracts. I was rescheduled three times only to be told that the service is no longer offered through Texas Legal. I would highly encourage that the firm updates their services on the website so that I wouldn't be wasting my time to be rescheduled and waiting for an appointment that was never going to happen. read more

If you don't mind waiting indefinitely for your settlement, being ignored for months, and surprise fees on your bill, then this is the attorney's office for you. My experience began after a car accident in January 2022 in which an uninsured unlicensed motorist ran a yellow light and totaled my car. Several people recommended Brandy Austin..but my experience has been nothing but disappointing. Communication with this office doesn't exist. Several times my physical therapy was put on hold for weeks at a time while we waited for the attorney's approval...and it was almost always me who had to call the attorney's office multiple times just to get them to follow up with my physical therapist. I was constantly lied to about being called back...and after a week I would have to call back again. It took an entire year after my physical therapy ended for an attorney to contact me about the settlement. He made it sound like they wouldn't take this to court and the offer the insurance provided was the best option. I was told that the rest of the process wouldn't take anytime at all...a few weeks later they received the settlement check from the other party. Now 7 months later...I have yet to receive anything. Each time I contact the office I'm told the attorney is out, on lunch, or "will call me back". Through their document portal I can see a Final Settlement Statement that has been the same since January...and somehow after the 33.33333% Attorney Fee (which they absolutely do not deserve), I'm being charged over $700 in additional fees. One such fee being the certified police report I had to furnish myself! At this point I'm assuming the worst and filing a complaint with the State Bar of Texas. I just hope no one else has to experience this level of professionalism again. read more

I had a staff member, I prefer not to name her, return my call and I spoke to a young woman who at first seemed professional but after divulging aspects of my potential case she interjected her personal opinion and judgement on my facts and was quickly dismissive with a disrespectful choice of words. As well as cutting me off and stating she didn't want to fight with me when asking her questions about her opinion of my facts. She ended the call with "Good luck finding a lawyer". I am not sure what personal issues she may be going through, maybe she just got up on the wrong side of the bed, or if she even enjoys her work culture but her phone etiquette is damaging to the law firm. A kind demeanor and just intake of information would have been appreciated. I would have been fine with not even getting a call back if the firm deemed the case unsuccessful. Luckily, I did find another firm locally that will listen and take my case. read more

It has been five years since this law firm took my Divorce case and did absolutely nothing but drain my retainer and continue to harass me for another one after I had already spent 5k for nothing. They didn't do their job requesting a hearing be rescheduled when they couldn't locate and serve my "still legal husband because they're useless". So they served him at 11pm the night before and charged me a $1000 for Brandi herself to show up and accomplish zero. No temporary orders were ever even filed on my behalf. No court ordered DNA test was ever administered. Run and don't look back these people are useless con artist. read more

Over priced, snotty and downright disrespectful. This place does nothing but take your money and accomplishes absolutely almost nothing for you. They do absolutely everything to empty your retainer just to get more money out of you throughout the whole experience. Not only that but she insulted me for my job. I had a family member in the Corredor that heard her making fun of her clients being strippers and WebCam models. From the get-go her attitude was that of someone who thought she was better than you. She also had a shirt with her cleavage hanging out. Most of the time they were rude to me on the phone whenever they would call me and acted annoyed with my lack of knowledge on how to go through the process of divorce. At the end of my case they took every single cent of my money and then said that they were going to withdraw from my case because I couldn't provide them with The money hungry seeking firm this is. They would put through documents and do things without even talking to me about it just to use up my retainer I would not recommend this law firm at all. They also sent me somebody else's test results at one time and then called a family member of mine and told them the drug test results of my husband whom I was going through a divorce with, which I'm sure is a breach of privacy. There are a ton of other lawyers in the city who will treat you with respect, not insult you and not try to take every single cent from you just to get your money from you and then threaten to drop you at the end when they are done with you. The best choice I made was fire her whenever she threatened to withdraw from my case. I represented myself at the very end and it was the best decision I could have made. I wish I never would've hired Brandi and I recommend that other people do your research and hire somebody else who's got morals and ethics when it comes to treating people with respect. If you want someone who just wants to empty your bank account and do nothing for you, this is the firm for you. I will be contacting the attorney general or reporting her to the bar for her insulting me and her other client. Spent well over $10,000 for a matter that we (and many others) thought was rather simple but turned into a nightmare. ***BUYER BEWARE*** If I could have given a -0 rating I would have. I contacted this law firm back in June 2022 for representation in a small claim's lawsuit. I spoke with several law firms prior to contacting Brandy Austin, and was offered a limited scope representation which would have entailed an attorney sending a professional written demand letter to the defendant, but no further representation in small claims court. I declined the other firms limited representation services because I wanted the convenience of an experienced attorney representing me in court. Upon contacting Brandy Austin's firm her team offered me the limited scope representation initially, but with the opportunity to be represented in court if the defendant did not respond to their demand letter. I paid the fee of $425 and patiently waited for a response from their letter. After sometime went by I followed up multiple times for a status of the demand letter being sent. I spoke with Trey Spencer (whose very nice) and there was some confusion about the defendants mailing address. Mind you I skipped traced the defendants address for Brandy Austin's team, to make things seamless for them. Shortly thereafter the demand letter was drafted. Trey emailed it to me for review. The letter contained several typos proofreading and requesting the corrections, the letter finally went out. After weeks of no feedback from the law firm I followed up. They had not received a response from the defendant, so I suggested they give him a phone call. Turns out the defendant never received the letter. So, after another attempt the letter was sent. Several weeks later I followed up to see where things were. I even drove 30 miles one way and sat at their office one day for over an hour combing through text messages with Trey Spencer to ensure they had enough information to speak with the defendant. More time went by and after several emails, calls, and text to Trey for status I was consistently told that they were waiting to hear back from the defendant. Sometime in August I was told the defendant was not budging. Duhhhhh! I knew he wouldn't budge so I was ready for the next course of action. I was ready to proceed to small claims court. I called the office several times to find out when we would be proceeding. I was transferred to voicemails, left messages, and emails. Finally, I had had enough of the run around and requested to speak with Brandy Austin. The gatekeepers for Brandy would not allow me to speak with her. On September 26, 2022 Jennefer Lowe contacted me, and suggested me make another call to the defendant to see if he would cooperate with the demand. Jennefer also informed me that the office MAY not be handling small claims going forward, but she would speak with Brandy to see if it would be possible to represent me after dealing with them for months. After patiently waiting several more weeks. I requested Brandy Austin give me a call, this time in a more firm and direct manner. After all, I was tired of the run around. On 10/17 Darrian called me. I had never spoken we her before, but she gladly got on the phone to tell me that representation was not an option because of the firms case load, but that Brandy Austin would be happy to bill me $175 for 30 minutes of her time to coach me representing myself. Darrian had a very rude and condescending attitute. As if it was my fault that I was fed up. Finallllly after multiple request Brandy Austin emailed me with no show of empathy or apology but suggested I could wait until January or February of 2023 when things may slow down, and I could possibly receive representation. This law firm is the pits. The time wasted, the attitudes, the lack of response, and more importantly the lack of empathy is enough to question how their even still in business. These people wasted months of my time. I could have saved time and money going straight to small claims court rather than dealing with them. Please pay close attention to the NEGATIVE reviews. I can assure they are spot on! You'd get better legal representation from Perry Mason, and yes I know he WAS a fictional actor from television played by Raymond Burr whose now deceased. Had the "joyous" experience of utilizing this law firm. Not only did the lawyer show up an hour late to our consultation but they don't feel any requirement to abide by the contract you sign with them. Without going into too many details, they handled things about as incompetently as you could and proceeded to charge more, and require more payment, as a result of their own errors and having to do the same work multiple times. It's really a shame. We had high hopes, but even when confronted with everything they opted to hold their ground and refuse to budge and admit any fault. They demand payment but don't render the services that they are requesting payment on. They get you thru court and drop the ball with out ensuring that you have received everything that was promised in person or contract. The only thing that you can be sure that they are punctual about is their PAYMENTS! Beware we still have yet to receive birth certificate for our adoption. Keep in mind we adopted LAST YEAR! They never mailed it! Then the call asking us to pay for an expedited birth certificate! But we pay it because it interest us as parents. Well here we are almost June 2019 and we have yet to receive it. My son will be graduating this June and his transcripts will not reflect his new name- this is very heart breaking. I don't even know what to say this firm is a joke money hungry let's start there. I am a single mom that was getting divorced and Larry assured me that my bill would not go over a certain price point. That was a lie we almost doubled amount. Then let's start with the communication with the attorney hisself. I would not get any response for weeks by him or his assistant. It was that I would call and email and still wouldn't hear anything back. Ya I get your the only family attorney there and your work load is huge but maybe should take so many clients. That way you can help the ones that you have. Day of court they tell you to get there 30mins early that way attorney can talk to you. Not Larry he didn't show up to be till 45mins after me doesn't shake my hand say good morning anything. We walk in do our stuff and then he say ok I don't need you for anything else you can go and walks off. REALLY! This is what you get with this firm. I would not recommend this law firm. I called them seeking advice on how to deal with a creditor who was using unscrupulous collection methods against my wife and I, who both suffer from disabilities. The attorney I spoke with was very rude and condescending toward me. She very bluntly stated: "The creditor has every right to collect the debt that YOU owe them." I capitalized 'you' because that's how she emphasized it to me. I have to speculate that one of their largest clients must be a creditor or collection agency. read more
