We have had a roach problem in our building for several months and during the last treatment, the pest control contractor insulted and berated me for asking questions. She (the manager) was present the entire time and said nothing; she would not even look at me. When I went to see her afterwards, she defended him and told me basically that I had unreasonable expectations because I wanted all the roaches dead, not most of them. She also laughed at me. I have been unable to use my kitchen for months because roaches have been everywhere, including laying eggs inside my dishwasher, to say nothing of the chemicals that have had to be sprayed all around. Mind you, I'm still paying close to $1000 a month while I am unable to prepare food in my own kitchen. This is not the only issue I have had with Avalon. I am now at the point where I am trying to take care of as many things as possible on my own because it is not worth the headache of reporting the issue.

Pet friendly complex as long as you introduce your dog to BJ and let them become friends! She is the only one that works in the office so you get to know her fairly quickly. Phillip is the only maintenance man on the premise and he is by far the best thing about living here! Nothing has ever gone unfixed no matter what the problem is! Will live here until I either get a house or move out of the city!

They are all incompetent idiots who scam their customers if they have the opportunity to. I lived there for a year. They charged my accounts multiple times for charges like when they got rid of the co-ed living they charged over 300 dollars my account even though it was their fault they didn't inform me about it. I literally had to go to the front office and complain many times for them to take it off my account and this happened two or more times regarding extra charges. Second thing, I didn't have a car and I was told there would be a bus to take us to campus ( which was a big factor to signing the lease) . During the second half of the lease, the bus broke down and they told us they wouldn't be getting us a spare bus or nothing and we would have to find our way to campus. I missed a couple classes for this reason. Final thing, after the previous I moved into an all-guys apartment in early November, meaning people were living there when I moved in and the state of the place was already so bad. There was mold on the floorboard (they charged me to fix that ) and many more. I hated the place so much I moved out after my semester ended which is mid may ( thats how bad I didn't like the place). So in total I lived in the apartment for 7 months (even less because I went home for Christmas and more) and this was 3 years. 5-6 months ago I received an email from collections saying I owe over 750 dollars (which I am currently paying because I am a college student and can't afford a lawyer) . They never informed me all this while I was gone. When they showed me the evidence of the damages, majority of them were damages that were there when I moved in (in late November mind you) and were of the common room which we all shared. We didn't complain because we thought " you get what u pay for". I talked to my one of other roommates (who had to fight to try to get his deposit back but they wouldn't give it to him) and turns out they didn't charge him for anything even though he moved in 3 months before me but I am the one who has to pay the bill. When I say this is the biggest fraud of an apartment. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO NEVER GO TO THIS PLACE IF YOU WANT PEACE and 2900 if you are seeing this, it is unfortunate I fell into your trap but if I can prevent other people for going through the same thing, I DAMN SURE will.

I called easily over a dozen times trying to talk to the property manager and got told multiple times that she would call me back. never once did i hear back despite the numerous emails and other contact attempts (the day i went to talk in person she happened to be on vacation). Did i mention the fire alarms?? they went off every week, often times for hours because the property manager does not live on site to give the firefighters access to get the alarms turned off. I honestly would not recommend it, especially with them raising the prices it's insane they want you to pay 800+ a month for how bad maintenance has been. Patios are tiny, the rooms are a good size but has no storage at all, same with the kitchen, but the kitchen is small and doesn't even have drawers for things like silverware. Overall if you absolutely need need a place or can take over a cheap lease that's what I would do, but if you have almost any other choice just go with the other place.

When calling the office to ask them to do something about the CONSTANT noise and parties being thrown at all hours they respond that tenants are allowed to use the sound system in common areas because it's in the lease. Apparently that means even after 9 pm or before 7 am, which is Norman's noise cutoff. If you enjoy people yelling constantly, throwing beer cans off their balconies and telling you to go fuck your self when you ask them to be quiet, then the Vue is the right shit hole for you!
