It is nearly impossible to reach anyone at the local branch by phone. Calls are routed through a centralized 800-number system that requires customers to navigate several minutes of automated prompts before reaching a representative who is often located out of state and unable to answer branch-specific questions. In my experience, the representative then has to place you on hold while they contact the branch on your behalf, only to relay the information back to you rather than connecting you directly. The customer service representatives themselves have always been courteous and professional. My frustration is not with them, but with a system that creates unnecessary delays and barriers to communication. For an organization that promotes personalized, community-focused banking, this approach feels disconnected from the very reasons many people choose a credit union in the first place. If customers cannot easily reach their local branch, it becomes difficult to see the advantage over a large national bank.

I visited this location recently to make a CASH deposit of just $20 into my fiancee's account. Simple enough, right? WRONG! The teller advised that they NO LONGER accept CASH DEPOSITS without a Deposit Slip or without me being a Bank of America customer! I could NOT believe what I was hearing! I reiterated that I was attempting to make a DEPOSIT, of just TWENTY DOLLARS! I wasn't trying to get money out! That didn't matter at all, I was talking to a wall. Then, the teller advised I could speak to a manager, but she doubted that would change anything..... I waited for over 5 minutes while the 'manager' was on a phone call. Once she completed the call, I got to speak with her. She simply restated everything that the teller had told me. NO CASH DEPOSITS ACCEPTED, without me being a BOA customer or without a Deposit Slip.. So much for making banking easy, folks! I'm done here. And that is why I'm a happy 30-plus years member of a wonderfully incredible Credit Union!
