The management here, especially Josh, has a serious problem with ignoring residents. He never has "a minute" to listen, and I've been waiting over 2 months for him to get back to me about an issue. This didn't start with the new company taking over -- he's been dismissive and unhelpful long before that. Speaking to him feels like being talked down to, not like a paying resident. The maintenance situation is no better. The older maintenance man avoids residents completely, and issues go untouched for long periods. Meanwhile the property continues to fall apart around us. The rat infestation is real and ongoing. Trash stays outside for days, the parking lot is filthy, and the entire community looks extremely outdated. The security gates have been broken for at least six months with no sign of repair or urgency. Bobby Nelson in the office is also extremely rude, and the overall lack of communication from the entire staff is unbelievable. It feels like nobody here cares about anything except collecting rent. Most of us are paying overpriced rent for: * Rat-infested grounds * Trash everywhere * Broken security gates * Zero communication * Unresponsive management * Outdated apartments and common areas * A staff that doesn't take residents seriously You could knock on random doors here and hear the same complaints. Please think twice before considering Morgan Ridge Apartments. You deserve better than an office full of people who clearly don't care, led by someone who seems to just be here for a paycheck.

The rental process was fast, Ms. Tara was always helpful and answered my questions quickly, and I was able to easily make my rental payment online. The building was kept clean, and I couldn't hear much noise from my neighbors, except for the occasional sounds from a practicing musician, which I didn't mind. The location truly cannot be beat, especially if you like to grab takeout from the local restaurants or pick up basic groceries at Washington Perk across the street. Having Camino Bakery just downstairs was such a bonus, especially on lazy days when I didn't want to make my own coffee and I wanted a sweet treat. The parking lot is a short walk away, but it's not too bad for city parking. The rooftop pool is a vibe! The gym is a nice perk, but I didn't use it much. FYI, my security deposit was returned pretty quickly, which was appreciated. I miss my time here, and I'd rent here again in a heartbeat.

My move-in experience at Nissen Building Apartments has been exceptional…read more I relocated from out of state, and Tara and Rodney could not have made the process easier. They coordinated with me for nearly two months ahead of my move, stayed responsive throughout the process, and went out of their way to make sure I felt welcome before I even arrived. The apartment is beautiful, everything that needed attention was repaired before move-in, and the building has been wonderful so far. I also want to specifically recognize Carlos Pledger and his business, Consistent Cleaning Today. Although the business name includes cleaning, Carlos provided an incredible white-glove moving, delivery coordination, and home setup experience for my out-of-state move. He received my packages before I arrived, transported everything to my apartment, assembled large furniture items, coordinated directly with property management, and made sure every detail was handled with care. This is the second time I have worked with Carlos, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. He is a Winston-Salem local, incredibly professional, reliable, detail-oriented, and genuinely committed to making the entire experience as smooth as possible. For anyone moving from out of state, or anyone who would benefit from moving support, delivery coordination, assembly, and home setup services, Carlos and his team are outstanding. Between Tara, Rodney, and Carlos, my move into Nissen Building Apartments was smoother than I could have imagined. I'm very grateful and have had a wonderful experience so far.

I had the privilege to live here for a little over a year while I completed rotations at various…read morehospitals in the area. From my first visit to the final day, I absolutely loved this complex. I rented a "studio" or Jr One Bedroom as it may be listed online. Living alone, this was all I needed to feel comfortable and still have some space to spare. The studio style is very open with the living room and kitchen combined and an open-top wall separating the bedroom. The huge walk in closet was perfect for storage of clothes and other oddities. All of the appliances were state of the art and honestly a joy to use. My apartment was ground level facing the baseball field. I'm sure all other apartments boast beautiful views as well. My only caution about renting one facing the Dash ball field would be noise. While games can get noisy over the loudspeaker, even out of season there are many events across the street that play music nearly daily and into the night. At the same time, you can't beat the gorgeous view of fireworks out the massive living room window after a Friday night game. The rest of the complex is just as high-quality. The pool, exercise room, business center, and common areas are vibrant and welcoming. I would tend to watch big sporting events on the large HD tv in the common area. The poolside grills are also a very nice amenity and a treat for guests go experience. The office management at Link completed my enjoyable experience. Mike was a tremendous help in getting everything squared away when I moved in, as well as available to answer any questions throughout my stay. Lisa also was very helpful. I did have one instance of a leaking closet roof. Maintenance was contacted who quickly came and fixed the problem. While the leak was fixed, maintenance took a decent amount of time to install a new ceiling piece. I kept this as a 5 star review vs 4 solely because Lisa was adamant about getting this fixed. I had mentioned that maintenance had been great at solving the leak, but part of my closet was unusable until a new ceiling was replaced. Lisa was great in contacting maintenance to completely finish the project and very kind throughout the process. I looked at a handful of places when I moved to WS. There are a lot that have more affordable pricing, but the quality of Link definitely exceeds the rental price. I would recommend at least touring Link apartments before making a final decision in your move.

I have lived here for four years now. The complex has had several office managers for reasons…read moreunknown to me. I found an absolute GEM in this complex (My Home). Rarely do you find a 20x20 enclosed patio to garden and furnish. I arrived when the home was being painted and remodeled. Over the years, I have had a few "situations" on the inside. However, the maintenance (Mr Darryl)has been consistent on making sure things get resolved. The current maintenance (Jose) is excellent. I don't know but he appears to be a one man show. And as hard as that may be on anyone, he always works hard to correct my issues and does not give up until it is done. Currently, to date, I am satisfied with maintenance and management (despite waiting for a key to be made for the laundry and gym:). Every complex may have issues, especially if built in the 1970s. I do see progress and Inshallah it will continue to to improve.

The hallway bathroom had water damage from a water leak that we were told the leak was fixed and the wall would be repaired, we now just have a gaping hole in our bathroom. There have been more issues than I can count. There's no peace here. We've delt with banging and filed noise complaints that are just dismissed as a old building. The outside areas are constantly trashed. We have been paying a large amount of rent for sub par apartment. We have emailed management several times with these issues and it seems you have to email and call repetitively to get anything done. This is not a well functioning property and is poorly managed. Regardless of the many excuses I have received for all of the issues I would NOT recommend moving to this property.

Baseboard cleaning…read more I called them to clean my baseboards. Sarah from the company was a little taken aback because that's all I wanted. For clarity I needed 11 rooms of baseboards cleaned. We agreed on a price, and they came today; work was top notch! They were friendly and payed attention to details that I had not noticed. I have to say, while we agreed for them to only do the baseboards, they were also dusting in certain areas! Truly and I mean this, truly a great pair .

These apartments are good enough to come back to a second time!…read more I lived here previously alone, and also with a roommate. I then bought a condo and sold it after a few years and when I thought of where I'd rent again- I looked here and one other place and this just felt like the right fit again, safe, and something I could still afford in my own. I love the pool and clubhouse redesign, and there are tons of friendly staff here to help out! The actual apartments have had a facelift which is great! Hopefully I'm not bias, but I think this is my 4th year living here and I don't see myself leaving until I buy my next property.
