I've done a few Duck Tours in my life and here's why I liked this one best: 1) The tour guide was super entertaining. Chatted up the kids who really stole the show. Made dumb jokes. Kept us all listening and entertained. 2) It's not one of those history-heavy duck tours. I can't stand when they throw a lot of knowledge at you. I can't remember it and I just want to enjoy it. This is a fun one, guys. Also, no offense to Branson, but there's no history here. As far as I can tell this is a "if you build it they will come and spend money" type of place. 3) It's like an hour or so long so you can get back to shopping or seeing a show or whatever is tugging at your wallet. Let me start by saying the employees were very friendly and easy to talk to. There was a playground inside the waiting area for the kids which was fun, but was $5 plus tax for each kid to play. The tour itself was very disappointing. It's nothing like the old tours used to be. About 50 minutes of it was just sitting in Branson traffic while the tour guide made small talk. There were very few facts actually given about what we were passing as drove by. Then they switched captains and we gently went into the water (no fun splash anymore) and we very slowly cruised around Lake Taneycomo for maybe 10 minutes and then we went back and sat in more traffic. The kids are no longer allowed to "drive" the boat. It was the most disappointing waste of $200. I wanted to love it but I really just couldn't. read more

Decided to try the "new" Branson Duck Tour with my family. The new ducks are claimed to be much safer than the old design that were boats/trucks reclaimed from the Navy. I'm sure they are. I had toured with the older generation in Branson, Seattle and Atlanta, and all were very nice and the tour guides informative. This tour, by a new company was good but with less actual "tour". It consisted of a drive to Lake Taneycomo, a drive on the lake for a couple of miles and then a return. The host pointed out a few items of interest but mainly talked incessantly and made a few jokes. By the end of the tour, I was trying to not hear the drone. I really didn't care to hear about his disdain for traffic circles or big name entertainment. Tell me about the fun things to do in Branson! Anyway, try it once but I wouldn't repeat the tour. read more

Our tour guide, Travis, was wonderful. He took a great pic of our family & was funny & snuck one in of himself. He told us fun little facts about Branson. The entire tour is only about an hour. My daughter really enjoyed seeking out the ducks hidden along the latter part of our adventure. I never felt scared in the water & many safety precautions are taken in the unlikely event of emergency. All around fun time! read more

What a hoot! Lance, our tour guide, gave us a humourous running guide about Branson during the tour. Dad jokes, a bit of magic and a little history before we got to splash in! Nice run to the fountains and back and the crowd participation was great. Thank you for a great time! read more

Very fun and entertaining! Perfect for all ages but my toddlers especially loved it! You can choose an option for "quackers" which is a fun thing for kids and a little souvenir for them. The tour guide Luis was very friendly and funny! I recommend doing this tour for families! read more

While I enjoyed the views of this tour, our group found the entire experience to be very annoying and irritating. To begin with, I purchased tickets online. This was an easy process and went smoothly. However, afterwards I received an email to sign the waivers for every ticket purchased. They were signed with ease and I figured that was the end of it. A couple of days later I received an email asking for additional signatures of waivers. Those were signed (because I thought maybe I had forgotten one.) A day later I received ANOTHER notice to sign. I had been saving all of the emails from the waivers and I knew every one of them had been signed. When I mentioned this to the woman at the ticket desk, she laughed it off and said that it happens all of the time. When it was time for the ride, we boarded with no problem. The tour guide, Luis, was incredibly loud but I figured it would get better as we went along. I was VERY wrong. His horrible guiding and lack of good information made this trip a terrible experience. He tried to make jokes but they were inappropriate and annoying at best. At one point he talked about a store that sells dinosaur poop. He went on and on for WAY too long about how to trick co-workers that you don't like and make them rub the poop on their skin. It was highly inappropriate. Several people on this tour actually had their ears plugged with their fingers to attempt to drown him out. The captain obviously knew what he was doing, but he was incredibly impersonal. He never smiled and barely spoke a word to any of the passengers. They both missed an incredible opportunity to discussed the history of the DUCK vehicles as well. That would have been cool information to know. All in all, I honestly would not recommend this tour unless there were some MAJOR changes. Don't waste your money. read more

Stopped in on a whim to ride with my grandsons since the last time we rode was in 2015 and in 2026 when they were much smaller. I have been so excited to have this attraction back in Branson since I only live 35 miles away now that we have retired here. I felt very safe on these boats but then again I always felt safe in the other ones as well. I REALLY wish they would do free quackers with the ride like they did before. But good ones. The quackers they sell for 5 bucks don't even quack loud and the harder you blow the more silent they get.. One of the funnest things about the prior boats, was these crazy loud quacker things and as we were going on the ride we would all quack at everyone walking by. It was so much fun and everyone got involved. Bring the good quackers back and let's have some DUCK BOAT FUN!!! read more

You're paying for about a 5 mile (Branson red lights & traffic) bus ride in about eight minutes into the water. If you want to be tortured, buy your kid a duck call toy inside. You will hear that thing constantly until you hide it. read more

Nothing like the original duck tours from years past. The new "ducks" are just glorified buses that can also go on the water. (I get the reason for the update, but not the same experience as the original WWII ducks). The actual tour was also nothing like the original duck tours. They used to go through town, across the dam, and splash into the water on Table Rock Lake. Yes, actually splash into the water. The new duck tour goes from the headquarters/office to the Branson Landing and then very slowly drives into the water from a boat ramp into the very small/narrow Lake Taneycomo (basically a small river). It doesn't even splash into the water anymore. The tour was overall boring and a waste of money, and I do not recommend it, especially if you have memories from the original duck tours. The tour guide was also not very good and did not provide much information about Branson or the history of the town. (Instead, he made numerous jokes about the tragic duck accident that happened a few years ago). read more

I don't normally do reviews but the owner made me cry. We waited 4 days to ride this because of weather. When we finally got on 7/31/22 we were seated at the front with half a window and the front view was a cloudy window. Most of the time I was staring at a life jacket. My leg was pressed up against the wall that dipped and hurt the entire time. The place to rest my arm had a metal thing that rope wrapped around so I couldn't put my arm out. When I tried to talk to the owner he came in hot and told me he knows that seat and you can see out the front and the side. He was aggressive and didn't care to hear anything I said. He said he can't give me a refund but offered me a shirt. That's not the point.he could have been nicer. My husband and I left and I cried in my car because he treated me like I was some person looking for something free. I did not get the same experience as everyone else and I wanted him to acknowledge that. He could have offered me the 5 pm ride with better seats. We didn't take the free t shirt and left upset. My advice to him is to not sell those seats and make single riders couple up so actual couples can sit in normal seats and also enjoy the ride. read more
