We were quoted 4 hours at $200/hour, despite Apex knowing there were approximately 4 hours of travel time involved. When I questioned the significant difference afterward, I was told they estimated that loading and unloading our belongings would only take 5-10 minutes. We were moving the contents of a two-bedroom apartment--bed, dresser, desk, coffee table, boxes, etc. Even without a couch, 5-10 minutes was never a reasonable assumption. Their estimate was the lowest we received, which influenced our decision to hire them. Had we been given a realistic estimate upfront, we could have accurately compared their pricing with other companies. Again, the actual movers were great. But beware of the estimates. In our experience, the initial quote did not realistically reflect the move, and the company was unwilling to rectify the situation afterward.
