For a country that holds a little over 17 million people, that's prrrrretty insane. An average Dutch person cycles 880 km [almost 550 miles] a year. That's almost 15 billion kilometers for all of Dutchieland. I mean, come on. The Netherlands is 42.500 square kilometers. Where is everybody going? We go in circles, obviously. But at least we are doing it environmentally friendly. And healthy! I have great respect for this part of Dutch culture. But some things about the Dutch and their Bikes is a bit strange... Our server asked if she could make a mimosa and she said "Oh, yeah! Certainly." She smiled and back to tend the bar area quickly, and the server soon was back to the table with a mimosa. Tasty drink, even if served with a massive straw (the first time I've had that happen). Haha. Anyway, the food was consistently cooked well and the atmosphere of the place is certainly enjoyable. A previous reviewer mentioned that their cutlery was presented in paper bags, but that's not anything I experienced during my recent visits. When my oysters (first visit) were served, they came with a small spoon and fork...so it seems that issue has also been tended to. If nothing else, I enjoyed my experiences (and the convenience) at the Brasserie Halte 3. If I was ever back in Amsterdam, I'd certainly enjoy a visit to this restaurant again.

Cozy dinning space and the aroma wafting from the kitchen immediately we knew we had picked the right place. We were greeted quickly and seated. We had such delicious food, the Chateaubriand was tender and cooked perfectly, along with the salad and fries we had to accompany. A great little wine list, just enough options to please most anyone and very well priced. We enjoyed our stay and even as it filled cleared and filled again we felt welcome and had we had room we would certainly have enjoyed dessert. We are already thinking of our next visit to Amsterdam and it will definitely include a dinner here.
