This is my home town Lowes. I purchase a lot of merchandise here over many years. In this instance,…read moreI had purchased 4 outdoor ceiling fans and one of the blade brackets broke during a storm. The brand is Harbor Breeze, their "house brand". I found it was impossible to purchase a new replacement bracket from Lowes, or during much attempt at getting to the manufacturer. The kicker here is that there is a hanging display of this exact fan which has been there for years, hanging there filthy and broken. It has only a few blades left on it and, of course, the brackets that I need one of. After multiple attempts at trying to purchase one of the brackets I was refused as it "is not our policy". I also tried to purchase the whole old and broken fan, just to use one bracket, and was also refused. This is the worst possible kind of customer service as there is no reason for this, and zero cost to them. When policy dictates actual customer service, we all know what has gone wrong....IMHO.
