They have different category rooms, given the unattractive color palettes of the newer premium ones I'm not sure it's worth the upcharge. Service was friendly. Totally disastrous if you are vegan! We had announced ahead that we were vegan but the enormous breakfast buffet has almost nothing to offer! Some rolls and slices of cucumber, tomato and peppers. And some fruit! No Plantbased milks, cheese or anything really! Totally shocking given the size of the hotel, amount of food on display and the fact that we are located in a spa town in Germany ! Healthy eating is not a priority at this establishment! Instead guests can fill their plates with bacon, eggs and processed meats to start the day! While I understand that most people probably don't care I do believe that in 2022 this is not acceptable at all! Even fast food restaurants such as Mc Donald's and Nordsee offer vegan options by now! Bon Appetite! When we checked out I mentioned the poor options and we were comped the parking for the length of our stay. Appreciate this gesture. Thank you.

Given our experience then, I feel confident saying that the Naturfreundehaus in Schweinfurt made our favorite Käsespätzle. The spätzle was perfect in size, shape, and texture and flavorful entirely on its own. However, the addition of käse and perfectly cooked onions (and bacon for the mister) made this dish utterly fantastic. It remains a family favorite, thanks in huge part to this location. The menu was expansive, and during the summer months it was always lovely to sit in the biergarten and enjoy fresh food and refreshing brews. Highly highly highly recommend if you happen to be in the area, or passing through!
