I'm from Oklahoma so I support Oklahoma businesses of which Braums is. I never have a complaint on the food but this store in Dumas needs some work. I went in for breakfast and noted the fountain drink dispenser looks as if it hasn't been cleaned in a year. There was mold on it and it was just splattered and filthy. These machines need to be broken down regularly and cleaned so as not to grow bacteria. The manager needs to give it some attention. We went on Sunday 05/25/2025 and bought these muffins because we have had their ice cream and it has been fantastic! So I get these muffins that aren't supposed to be expired until JUNE 1ST. As I was looking at the muffins I thought it was the plastic that the muffins are wrapped in that looked a little off. But went by the expiration date. I drive all the way home to San Antonio open the muffins only to see that there is mold all over the place. Unbelievable! And really disgusting. Horrible service, and management is just as bad. We ordered a brownie fudge Sundae and a double scoop of vanilla in a cup. The sundae came with no brownies when we went back to see if they can make us an other. The manager was rude and said we didn't specify a brownie fudge sundae. And referred to the receipt and said they didn't hear us say brownie and thought it was just a fudge sundae. And then proceeded to rudely say that there's no way they can give us a brownie fudge sundae since they only had one brownie in the whole store. He decided to give us a single scoop brownie fudge sundae packaged horribly and still made us pay for it. I'm never going back there and I advise anyone who is going to expect the worse service and attitude from the employees. I wish I could give them less than a 1 star. read more

We arrived at 12:50, 45 min later we still hadn't received our order ( 3 burgers 3 fries) and there were at least 10 orders still in front of us to receive theirs. There were 4-5 employees at least standing around behind the counter eating ice cream and joking around not working. By the time we left and asked for our money back, so had 3 other families around us. VERY Frustrated customers still waiting by the time we left. To top it off, the young Hispanic workers all laughed about it and it didn't seem to bother them that they were losing customers and having to give their money back/ didn't bother them one bit. We like Braum's and we travel from Amarillo to SW Kansas often so this is a convenient stop for us. But, this Braums is so full of flies you can't eat your food in peace. They need to issue a flyswatter with every tray. While we were seated I counted 25 flies perched around the room and ceiling. That doesn't count the airborne ones. I am not exaggerating to say you have to eat one handed, one hand for your food and the other to shop flies off your tray. And these are trained flies, they go straight for the food so you know they live in the dining room full time. read more

I ordered inside and waited for 13 minutes for several simple burger while the hard working staff made and fulfilled multiple orders for the drive thru. About 8 vehicles were waited on before my food was made. This was incredibly unprofessional; I had four children waiting and we were on very tight time constraints. I would not have minded if they were busy, but this was a matter of simply prioritizing the drive thru customer at the expense of the customer at the counter. This restaurant has gone downhill. The floors are sticky, the tea is always empty and the employees are slow at best. We waited way too long to have our order taken while the employees stood around joking with each other. I will never return. read more

Drive thru for breakfast at 0800... sausage egg and cheese biscuits must have been from the day before. Egg was dry and hard.. Sausage was very much the same. Cheese actually had crusty edges. Not sure how's that's possible at 8am. The large coke however was great. read more

The manager, named Sandra, was unprofessional and incompetent. We waited 15 minutes for our number to be called and when we inquired on our order, she told us that we had already gotten our food. I mean, really? She called us liars. We also noticed that the subsequent orders were incorrect and the customer kept going back to correct it. Fortunately we were able to get our money back but left hungry. We won't be back because of the bad customer service. read more

I saw Braums all over Oklahoma and Texas so I figured I would give it a try. The place was busy and looked sorely mismanaged. Everyone seemed to be tripping over each other to make shakes, burgers, fries and such. Some people just left, not wanting to wait in line. Maybe one reason it was so busy is that it is off of 287 and lots of trucks go through there. It is not a Interstate but it is a major route for trucks. I don't think that was the case though. MIS-managed is what I am thinking. The ice cream itself actually did taste good and there were lots of different flavors to pick from. I got the Hot Chocolate flavored ice cream and it was very good! I will try Braums again but I am not so sure if I want to try this same location again. Maybe other locations got a smoother system with orders than this one...I hope. read more

The staff was friendly when we arrived however they completely forgot half of our order. It was not busy but they seemed short staffed and finally we just had to ask about the order to which the manager immediately apologized and made the item for us personally. This is the third time I have been to Braum's, and it is the third time in a row that they screwed up. The first time my burger was cold. The second time I decided to not bother with a burger and just ordered a chocolate milkshake. Three different employees asked me what I wanted! I started to get upset at their incompetence and said "can't you people make a chocolate milkshake?" Because I arrived in this town just after 9 PM, I was disappointed to find that KFC closes at 9 PM. The burger place next door was also closed. I decided to give Braum's one more chance. I ordered a cheeseburger combo, ketchup only, with a vanilla shake. The cashier confirmed "ketchup only". After getting my receipt, I saw that it said on it "mustard only". WAKE UP PEOPLE! Ketchup is not mustard! I know some people like mustard, but I consider ketchup and mustard to be complete opposites. I will throw a burger in the trash if it gets contaminated with mustard. I told another employee about the error, and he told the cashier that he screwed up again, and then they told the kitchen. Meanwhile, it took two employees to try to make a milkshake and they still didn't get it right. It wasn't mixed very well at the bottom. I decided to just let that go and mix it myself with a spoon. Like most Braum's, this one is overstaffed, in terms of headcount, but understaffed in terms of competent staff. Five people who know what they're doing could make much better food in less time without constant mistakes than the 12 people they have there who are floundering about. read more

Lines at the drive up were 10 cars deep so we went dine in. Walked out when we heard the employees saying "Can we just do drive up. No sense killing ourselves for what we get paid." But after our last visit (err....visits, I guess....3 or 4 in a month's time), I don't know if I can justify the stop. Service was SO slow. Our drive-through cashier was in training, bless his heart, and messed up our order pretty badly. I didn't get what I ordered. We ordered ice cream and food, and the ice cream came out before the food (like, a good 10 minutes before the food, and we were sitting in the car). You can't eat ice cream first, people, come on! Seemed pretty disorganized inside....they were out of several things, and it seemed like the kitchen didn't know what the ice cream side was doing. Actually, it seemed like nobody knew what anybody else was doing. The ice cream is good, always. The munchkin liked her chicken fingers and gravy (she was walking around our hotel room, carrying the chicken like a club). I was less impressed with the food. Its been many years since I have stop at a Braum's (because I stopped driving a truck cross country for 12 years). I didn't try their burgers so I can't rate them, but their shakes are as good as I remember! Ice cream shakes made with real hand scooped ice cream. Not pumped out of a machine like most places. Braum's is fairly unique, its a burger joint/ice cream parlor with a dairy store built in. I'm from California and we don't have anything exactly like this. Braum's has their own brand of ice cream which in my opinion is better than the national big name brand ice cream companies. For those of you who are from California, the best way to describe Braum's is a thrifty ice cream shop ( found inside Rite Aid's, since they were bought out) combined with a Dairy Queen burger place and a bakery outlet store. Their ice cream is the best you will find anywhere. As for the general condition of the store it seemed fair. The employees were a little slow but I've seen worst. And something you need to consider is this fast food place in small town, just about middle of nowhere Texas. Dumas isn't exactly Dallas. Just about every business in small town America is going to be older and a little more worn out than your brand new big name corporate restaurant. But the product, it this case the ice cream and milk shake are so much better than anything you will get at MacDonald's, Jack in the Box, Burger King , etc .... Be grateful you have a Braum's near you, because a lot of us don't. read more

Alright, lemme tellya, I'm a truck driver, and I see this chain ALL OVER the South, (TX, OK, anyway), and I've stopped in a few times, mainly because many locations have TRUCK PARKING. And, while their food is so-so, their dairy treats are GREAT. Except the other day, I had a caramel malted, and it had bits of banana in it. And I got violently ill the next day. But it may not have been the malted's fault, it may have been the flu. BUT..........I'm gonna be a little more careful about Braum's in the future........ I love the idea of this place: a dairy store, that also serves fast-food, AND HAS TRUCK PARKING, but the sanitation standards may be lacking......I dunno. I guess this points up the lack of decent places to eat out there for the likes of us truckers. What I'd REALLY like is truckstops with 24-hour-a-day Vietnamese food, and sushi, and stir-fry with organic brown rice, and gyms with hot-tubs, and full-body massages, ........Jesus, am I really a trucker? Such an unfortunate experience. A couple of the middle aged ladies working were great. Not one of the young staff was good. The young man taking our order mumbled, wouldn't look at us. One young man had dirt stained filthy pants and shirt. Another young mans pants were sagged down and underwear hanging out. The place was filthy. We love Braums and believe Braum's itself is amazing. The staff can quickly turn a great business upside down. I realize though during this time when so many our experiencing staff shortages you take what you can get to keep your business afloat. Very dirty, had signs that only accepting cards because no change on hand, asked for ketchup and was told they were completely out. All of the trash cans were overflowing and flies were everywhere. There was even water on the floor running out from underneath the fountain drink machine. The employees were stepping over it instead of cleaning it up. The walls, benches and floors were filthy. Stopped through on our way to Colorado and they got our order wrong twice! Old fries and old patties then my husband asked them to make us fresh fries and the girl working in the back grabbed the old fries and tried to put them back in the fryer to re-fry them. My husband was watching and then she finally threw them away and grabbed a fresh bag. They weren't busy at all so we should have had great service but it was seriously lacking and the teenagers were goofing off even when a Assistant Manager was present. I come thru town once or twice a year, I hit the Braum's and go on my way. This place has gone downhill in the last few years. The burgers were very good as usual and so was the ice cream, but jeebus are they slow. I mean ridiculously slow. Like watching little kids in slow motion make the burgers. Middle of the afternoon (slow time), just us ordering, took literally 12 minutes. The food was good and it was not expensive, but I can imagine how frustrating this place would be at lunch hour. We were visiting Sulpher Springs, Texas and were excited to see a Braums since we do not have any in Denver. This is the dirtiest Braums I have ever seen. The trash was over the top, the tables were never cleaned off while we were there and were not cleaned before we got there either. Each patron had to clean off their own table if they chose to stay, the staff was lazy standing around talking when there were a lot of things that needed to be done. The bathroom was dirty, etc. I have never been to a Braums more disgusting and would have found another place for lunch if we had realized this before we ordered. read more
