This is one place I've never EVER seen empty. You have to hand it to Bread Talk. They know where to place themselves... either that or they're just really lucky. When I say never empty, I mean *never* empty. There's almost always a line of people. A long line of people. The tables and chairs are almost always full. But I suppose you can't blame them for it. If business is good, business is good and good for them.
But unfortunately, that can't be good for customer service. I can't tell you the number of times I've decided against going because of the sheer length of the line. I may like my pork floss buns but I don't like them long enough to stay in line that long. But cudos to Bread Talk to coming up with decent flavors that work well together. I love their cheese naan. I can't really compare it to real naan but it's chewy -- in a good way. The cheese is right there. You can definitely taste it. Then there's the wonderful thing they do with pork floss. There's just something about the way pork floss melts in your mouth and is just absolutely perfect with bread. Bread Talk probably brought pork floss to the public eye and good on them. At least I know where to get it more often.
So just a heads up: if you're in SM North and decide you need your Bread Talk fix, you're probably better off crossing the footbridge and heading to the branch in Trinoma. There's just way too many people in this one. read more
