I practiced yoga at home for 2 years and never had any interest in going to a studio to practice around other people until I experienced BreakAway Yoga. Now I can't imagine my life without BreakAway classes! They have fair prices & great deals to make it affordable to be a regular. The $35 for 30 days unlimited trial was a perfect way for me to explore all of their different classes & find my favorites. It allowed me to branch out and try new approaches to yoga without feeling like I had anything to lose! BreakAway has something for everyone, whether you want to get sweaty & get your heartbeat up or get your chill on & relax & stretch it out. There are classes for feeling comfortable with familiar flows and poses and classes for breaking out of your comfort zone with new poses and approaches. Every teacher is friendly and welcoming and embraces the idea that your time in the studio is about YOU, not what anyone else thinks about how yoga should look or feel. I love the way they use music playlists to accompany the classes. My favorite classes are Yoga Sculpt, Buti Yoga, and BreakAway Flow, plus the rotating Fri-YAY Flow class that is often the perfect answer for the question of how to shake off a long week. read more

I've been practicing yoga for about 5 years now and have been to many studios in Baltimore, Philadelphia, Austin and New Haven. BreakAway Yoga is one of my favorite places - and I would say with certainty that it's the best yoga studio in Baltimore. If you're looking for a place that is inviting, challenging but not too serious, well-organized, affordable and calming (and FUN!!), this is the place for you. I have been to quite a few studios over my many years of traveling. Unfortunately this may be one of the worst. It lacks concept, the website is very vague and seems like my 5 year old could have done it. There doesn't seem to be much professional about this space. The owner was VERY rude when I inquired about what I thought to be a confusing breakdown in the pricing system, I did however work through my first impression and stay for a class. I think the owner wants to cater to the fad group and take selfies. I don't think there's depth here or room for beginners to be welcomed and grow as individuals, MUCH LESS be accepted into this "social club". read more

Despite recent world events, and closing the studio as a result of these events, Jennifer and her team have made an unbelievable effort to continue reaching out to the community through their virtual classes. I came to BreakAway as a total newbie seeking some sort of scheduled workout that would keep me engaged. I have found that but also so much more here. Jenn is a great teacher and she has a very unique style in her yoga teaching, which was refreshing. Jen has a bubbly & welcoming attitude and studio. The space is quaint and the location is easy to get to. I don't feel overwhelmed with offerings or too much stuff "for sale".
