This location is close to where I live, about 10 minutes or so. Checked in and greeted. I was told to wait as the instructor was going to come out to get me......class was 1215. I saw other members go into the room and still nothing for me. So I asked the front desk, do I wait here still? She was like yeah...so a waited a little longer then she finally took me to the back of the room to get my equipment (weights, band, a ball). The instructor for this class was Elizabeth. Music selection was good but it was hard for me to follow or feel like I knew what I was doing. I saw Elizabeth helped other participants out but with me being NEW, I would think the instructor would check in/guide me as well...didn't happen so I just looked at the other women around me for guidance. Upon leaving, I was asked about my experience and told them that I didn't feel like I knew what I was doing; she told me that most folks feel like that and was provided a flyer about their membership that I will NOT be getting (although I was strongly considering membership). I just didn't feel welcomed here as a new participant. Initially was excited but afterwards, I was like nah, I can't use my money for a membership here. But overall, my body felt good.

I love that I can get a workout in a totally different way here than just taking yoga classes all the time. I want to get rid of my flabby arms, get nice legs, and basically tone my whole body, but yoga can only do so much! The sculpt and barre classes definitely target the areas that yoga does not! You may think you're fit, until you walk into one of these classes and feel the need to vomit several times (in a good way). Definitely my favorite studio I've attended since moving to Maryland. Even the aesthetics is super pleasing! It's a brand new studio, and you can definitely tell how new it is because of how pristine everything still is. But you can tell a lot of thought went into the design of it all. The yoga studio has 3 different sets of lights that are all on dimmers. The sconces and the ceiling perimeter lights are my favorite! You no longer have to deal with bright lights overhead whenever you're laying down on your back! They have a completely different room for the sculpt and barre classes, but both studios have surround sound, which I love! Normally, studios just have speakers in the front of the room which can either make it very loud in the front or not as motivational in the back. But here, the music can pump you up no matter where your mat is! I cannot recommend this studio enough and am so glad to have the opportunity to take such a great variety of classes with great teachers.

The class was challenging, but accommodating and at no point did I feel shamed or embarrassed for not being able to do a full move. The class is like a mix of yoga, ballet, and Pilates and the instructor was great. If it wasn't 30 minutes from me (on a good day), I'd subscribe on the spot. Once my account was created, I was able to sign up for classes. I was informed before I took any classes I would need to take the Intro to Equipment class. Fran was the instructor. She was patient and helpful as it was my first time and I needed specialized attention. For my second session, I took Reformer I & II with Doreen. Foe my last session I took Tower with a substitute for Doreen. All the instructors were patient, helpful, and friendly. They ask if anyone had injuries and they walk around and if your technique is wrong they adjust and correct you which I greatly appreciated. The classes were challenging to me since I am not good at following directions. Also, if you don't remember instructions well, I recommend taking Intro to Equipment multiple times. I had to look around to see how to do things as I am a visual learner, not an audio learner. The facility is tucked away in the corner and is not visible if you are in the parking lot. Fortunately I saw someone wearing athletic clothes and followed them. The facility is clean and bright. There are two individual restrooms. There is a main room with cubbies. The reformer room also had cubbies. The reformer room was slightly warm even with ceiling fans so I dressed lighter the second and third session. I enjoyed my experience, but could have benefitted from more intro classes. The classes were much different than my normal cardio and strength training classes at my gym. The pace was slower and it was a great way to relieve stress. I highly recommend Core Fitness for Pilates.

Using Class Pass, this was my first time ever taking a reformer class so I chose the Reformer Flow I because I wasn't sure how it would go. The instructor definitely helped me figure out the equipment and adjusted my form during the class. I felt like I got a good stretch but it wasn't too much of a workout. I guess next time I would have to choose a more challenging class, so just a heads up if you are already quite active at baseline. At least for the class I took, it was calm and low impact, which can be great for active recovery. Also this studio is great for COVID since the reformers are spaced out and there are few people/class.
