However, recently we decided to go right into SRQ and we loved being at our favorite Sarasota spots right after landing. After landing we were quickly able to navigate the small airport, get our rental car, stop for caffeine and be at The Ringling all within 30 minutes of landing. The airport is small so it's easy to navigate but that also means there are not a ton of amenities. We enjoyed local artwork and displays throughout. Also, the volunteers that provide airport information and tourist information were very welcoming.

I did notice the parking lot was full, but I was lucky enough to be getting dropped off. That could be a major issue on a busy day. Getting through security was really quick and everyone was super nice. They even dressed up as the Grinch greeting people as you got on the plane, which was such a fun touch. They were overly critical about whether a pet could stand and turn around in its carrier, and made it clear that failure to meet their interpretation of the rule meant you would not be allowed to fly. Rather than showing empathy or professionalism, the focus seemed to be on exerting authority and publicly embarrassing passengers. When we landed, I briefly reached into my carrier to soothe my dog, and a flight attendant yelled across the cabin, "Zip it, lady." Several passengers turned to me afterward and expressed sympathy, but the attendant appeared to enjoy the power of the moment. Customer-facing roles may be challenging, but basic courtesy should never be optional. If someone does not enjoy serving the public, they should consider a career where customer service and accountability are not required. This was, without question, the least friendly airline experience I have ever had.

I was greeted by a nice young lady as soon as I stepped off the plane. I was shocked that when we finally left the ramp and entered the gate area it was practically empty. She wheeled me through the airport pretty quickly and we had a nice conversation about Sarasota and Bradenton. The attendent took me in the elevator with no mishaps down to baggage claims and was nice enough to get my bag for me off the conveyor belt. My return to Atlanta had hiccups. There was a ground stop due to weather. We were supposed to leave at 6pm. We didn't leave until almost 9:30pm. I understand things happen out for your control but it would help if you communicate what is going on. The crew was nice and accommodating but I don't think they knew what was going to happen. We had to de-plane. That took forever. They let me sit there for awhile but an attendant wheeled me off and wheeled me back on when it was time.

This Delta listing is at SRQ: Sarasota Bradenton International Airport in Florida. I'm using this listing to review my experience in to and out of SRQ on Delta. For the 12-month period ending May 2021, Delta had the second-highest passenger volume at SRQ. Allegiant Air was first. For the 12-month period ending June 2021, Atlanta (ATL) was SRQ's top domestic route. ATL is the primary hub of Delta. And that's where my friends and I flew out of and back to: ATL. Booked a little over two months out, the total roundtrip cost for me was $246.80. SRQ to ATL is a zippy flight in both directions, roughly 1.5 hours each way. We flew coach on Airbus A320-200s. It'd been a minute since I flew, mainly due to the pandemic. I like Delta's redesigned cabins, especially the ambient lighting above the light and air controls. Every seat had a screen and there were plenty of included entertainment options on our flights. My favorite was the live TV, so on our Sunday afternoon flight home, we watched an NFL game (Jets/Patriots). Now airlines just need to make screens compatible with Bluetooth headphones and earbuds. Both flights went smoothly and without any disturbances or delays. In fact, I believe both flights arrived ahead of schedule. Masks were required and little packets of hand sanitizer were handed out upon entering each aircraft. On my outbound flight, it was just my luck that I sat next to the *one* guy who almost created a viral video moment for removing his mask to speak with a flight attendant. Things got heated, especially after the flight attendant asked the passenger to fully cover his nose, and they got into it. Funnily, my buddy and I got double Biscoff cookies for doing nothing but having to sit next to the guy. We didn't ask for double cookies, the flight attendant just gave them to us. The heated passenger got nothing. Ouch. Both flights were sold out. Boarding and deplaning went without incident. Mask compliance was 100%, except for the minor incident described above. The seats were as comfortable as one could reasonably expect. The planes were clean and in good condition. The flight attendants were polite and did their jobs. I don't envy them now having to enforce mask compliance. Delta is good in my book.

She's a very top shelf person, friendly, and a very safe driver. Her cars are squeaky clean and in top mechanical condition. We all know what its like to drive to an airport, find parking, than let your car sit outside in the elements, or to other people that will door ding or damage your car. Then think of what it costs per day for parking, as well as the walk with luggage that many times is a long ways from the terminal you need to go to. After a day of being tired, running through airports, and travel stress, it is much safer to just be driven home! I would much rather pay for a dependable driving service like Corin's that will remove all the other worries and make the trip much less stressful. She was very prompt in her reply, which I appreciated. I had to fly out of TPA but was returning to SRQ which was why I was considering a driving service and I'm glad I did. I'll use Corin from this point forward - why deal with the hassle of driving and parking at the airport. I reserved Corin several weeks before my trip. She confirmed all the information at the time of our text exchange and then sent a follow-up text the day before my flight. She also confirmed the information before my return flight a day before my return. It was great having one less thing to worry about or follow-up on. Corin's vehicle is very nice and she was fine if we didn't chat, but we did and we carried on a conversation! She was on-time (actually early) to pick me up and had text me that she was already waiting for me when I landed! The airline had also canceled my flight and when I reached out to Corin to provide some options, she was prompt in her reply and was accommodating to what I might need! I can't express enough the ease and calmness that I received from Corin - which was very much needed when travel arrangements can go a little haywire!

I travel the world and have used multiple travel companies - in addition to independent travel. LJ is unorganized and will nickle and dime the traveler with added fees. You get what you pay for, right? Take my advice, spend a little more money and go with a better company. NEVER AGAIN! My partner and I booked a cruise last year for a cruise earlier this year leaving out of San Juan…read more Unfortunately, we didn't make the cruise because of severe snow storm however we did try to make our best effort having to go through 6 cancellations and re-booking through the 2 two airlines (where the average hold time on the phone at the time was 1.5 hours), going through 4 airports and being stranded in New York without winter clothes (as we were expecting to be in a place with tropical weather). The next flight back to where we came from was three days away so we decided to take the bus. All that effort and expenses for the most expensive non-vacation we've ever had. I called the travel agencies after-hours number and they immediately said we can't refund but can try to put us on the next port of call. We tried too however due to the severity of the weather, that flight got cancelled for 7 hours so we wouldn't be able to make it to the port to board in time anyway. I called my travel agent and she said she can't do anything, we can get anything back. She said the only way to get the money back is if we bought the travel insurance. Through them, there is no way to get anything back, not even credit towards another vacation nor will they send a request to the cruise. I think this company is lacking a lot of customer service and compassion given that we clearly gave it our best effort and had been frustrated the past couple of days. They didn't care about keeping us as customers and would rather keep the quick buck that they got from us. I do not recommend this business at all. CHECK REVIEWS ONLINE. You will find that this business have a lot sales/customer services related complaints. You're better off with more established travel agencies out there who clearly care about customer experience.

I was then booked a flight for the next day (Friday) with a layover in Philly. Arrived in Sarasota, checked in bags. After landing in Newark, my bike, gear and clothes did not show up. Waited 4 hours and nothing. The trip was a total loss. No cycling event, spent money on clothes because my luggage was lost and just before my return I get a "we are sorry" call telling me I can pick up my luggage at the airport. The customer service was poor in Newark Airport, no offer to reimburse trip either. Insane trip.I do not recommend United!
