I'm putting this here because I can't find a way to do a review of Old national Bank. As bremer Bank transitions to Old national Bank you can just see on the reviews how horrible the transition has been for so many people how many of people have an inconvinced both time and financially. As a commercial customer I can't be any more disappointed in there handling of the commercial accounts with which I'm involved. They have shown no desire to honor commitments made by the previous bank. They have not communicated at all until a letter came from lawyers defaulting on a loan. You can see the reviews are less than two stars for bremer Bank and all I can say is I would never have anything to do with them personally and I encourage everybody to bank elsewhere and hopefully the message will be received loud and clear and some changes will be made. When have you ever had a banker call your house to see if you have arrived home safely after an 865 mile drive? Joey Chow at Bremer Bank in Alexandria did. It made me feel "looked after" and cared about. That was a month ago. Today, I went in for a quick chat and some bank business, and was again treated like a family member. Not only did I receive excellent banking service, but I also learned that the bank provides Christmas gifts for a thousand people in the area, adults as well as children, through their Jingle Bells program. Joey knows everyone in Alec. I asked him where to find a good local dry cleaner, a Chinese restaurant (now why did I think he could probably give me wise advice there?), and a Mexican place. He told me where to go and what to avoid. I also received directions to the power company and to the church where the bank will be hosting a TV local talent show, as a fund raiser for their Jingle Bells program above. This charming young man knows what customer service is all about and is sure to go far in his chosen profession! Give him a try. Other staff members are nice and competent, but my experiences with Joey have been outstanding, I'd adopt him, but his mother might object. read more

You'd be better off storing your money in a piggy bank. Just a couple of days ago, I pulled up the drive through at 7:35am and no one was at the window so I put my cash deposit in the night drop box... thinking that maybe they had a meeting or something. I had to get money in my account because this was my "bill pay" account and I had just gotten back from dropping off checks for bills before I went to Bremer. A day later around 10am, my deposit had not gone into my account however, the checks for my bills did! I was all of a sudden over drawn and couldn't understand why a cash deposit was not applied to my account almost two days later! I went to the branch and explained the situation, come to find out they had charged me over draft fees for every single bill payment I made! I explained that no one was at the window and that I was upset because in the 10 years I have been banking with them, it has never taken this long for a cash deposit and that I was anticipating that money be available when my checks went through. After haggling with the lady at the drive through for ten minutes, she finally realized I was right and offered to refund all by one. WHY???? I don't know either. Reluctantly I accepted because I was sick of arguing. I then asked what I need to do to close my account and she actually asked me why I would want to do that!! Tonight, one more of my bills went through and the OD fees have not been refunded yet, leaving me negative STILL. I am looking forward to another OD fee tomorrow and another trip into Bremer to give them a piece of my mind. This was all a stem of their mistake, why should I be paying for this!? After banking at Bremer for 20 years I will be closing my accounts. A personnel banker made statements to me regarding a deposit in the checking account that I knew were not true. Old instructors like me never ask questions that we do not all ready know the answers to. I pressed the president for answers and was told it was a misunderstanding. At this same time I had mad a sizable deposit to my savings account on a Friday, I checked the account on line on Friday and Saturday the deposit was in the account. On Sunday when I checked it was gone, no deposit no withdrawal; it was as though it never existed. On Monday the fraud department was notified and called me latter to tell me they found my money in a non account. I never heard of a non account but do know it was in my account and did not move its self - someone at the bank moved it. read more
