I tried to return a pair of shoes today for store credit. Brenda (the owner) told me I could not return them because it had been too long and that she didn't carry the shoes anymore. First, I purchased the shoes week before Christmas to wear for the holiday. I could not wear the shoes because the zipper was broken. The shoes were never worn. Second, I do not live in Natchitoches. Brenda asked me why I didn't mail them back. Really? Third, Brenda had the shoes in stock. Fourth, receipt clearly states store credit after 10 days. Brenda, as a business owner, apparently doesn't care about customer service. This was my first time shopping in the Natchitoches area and I will never step foot in Brenda's again. I have been in retail management for over 25 years and I never told a customer they could not return something for store credit when they had a receipt. I was furious when I left, made an jack??? Out of myself. I tried calling the store to get Brenda's last name, I was hung up 3 times. This just reaffirms Brenda's attitude as a business owner. Kudos to the associate in the store, she was nice and told me in the beginning I could use store credit. The customer service stopped when Brenda took over. read more
