Sadly I don't buy fudge often and I rarely crave it, but I was happy that they have it as an option for those that love it. This just means I have to visit them again and try a bit of fudge. The ice cream line was a bit long because they make other cold treats, too. It's all good because we didn't have a lot going on and was thankful they were open that day, so I was patient. The family and I were visiting Natchitoches for the weekend and of course thought of getting a memorabilia of some sort. I'm not that big of a shopper and don't like collecting things. If you're into that sort of thing... they have a bunch of trinkets that you'll like! The ice cream was definitely worth the wait. It is So Worth It to visit Natchitoches at Christmas time. The Christmas Festival of Lights on the Cane River is going on right now.......Beautiful, Beautiful Beautiful! Merci Beaucoup Gift Shop was all Decked Out for Christmas. The floral arrangements are Exquisite. This is a Specialty Boutique Gift Shop. They carry one-of -a kind collectibles & gifts. The Nativity Scenes are Absolutely Gorgeous! I couldn't leave without picking up a Mark Roberts Christmas Elf. .......I think he might need a friend.........I wanted them All. They are Fun & Comical..... the facial detail is Superb! The Mark Roberts Christmas Fairies are really cute as well. The store is meticulously organized despite stocking almost every type of gift you can imagine. Most of the stock appears to be from local artists and collectors. There are many unique gifts that cannot be found anywhere else (even on the internet) and there are gifts that are more conventional or nostalgic. I tried to return a pair of shoes today for store credit. Brenda (the owner) told me I could not…read morereturn them because it had been too long and that she didn't carry the shoes anymore. First, I purchased the shoes week before Christmas to wear for the holiday. I could not wear the shoes because the zipper was broken. The shoes were never worn. Second, I do not live in Natchitoches. Brenda asked me why I didn't mail them back. Really? Third, Brenda had the shoes in stock. Fourth, receipt clearly states store credit after 10 days. Brenda, as a business owner, apparently doesn't care about customer service. This was my first time shopping in the Natchitoches area and I will never step foot in Brenda's again. I have been in retail management for over 25 years and I never told a customer they could not return something for store credit when they had a receipt. I was furious when I left, made an jack??? Out of myself. I tried calling the store to get Brenda's last name, I was hung up 3 times. This just reaffirms Brenda's attitude as a business owner. Kudos to the associate in the store, she was nice and told me in the beginning I could use store credit. The customer service stopped when Brenda took over.
