I am sad to write this review because when I spoke to the owner of the kennel, Catherine, she…read moreseemed very knowledgeable and passionate about the breed, and she presented to me that she raised the dog that I was buying, and that she would be a perfect fit for my family upon receiving the dog the dog had numerous lacerations all over her ears, her face and various of their parts of her body. The dog appeared skittish and not behavior consistent with an IGP-1 trained dog as I was promised if I was rescuing, it would not be a problem, but I thought I was getting a dog of the standard. This dog is obviously not IGP-1, she will not even lay down with treats, runs away from people, and has severe separation anxiety, which was not disclosed. If disclosed no problem we can work on these things but the non-disclosure part feels shady and unfair to Penny,I have rescued Dobermans in the past and paid for rehabilitation treatment but was taken by storm on this one because I have young kids I wanted reliability and predictably this time not a project.Catherine is not knowledgeable about her various other conditions. The dog was given to me with a bend in her tail which appears to be broken when I reached out to the owner, she did not respond again. There are multiple lacerations on her ears and the rest of her body. She does not even respond to down. She only responds to sit, and this is an IGP-1 titled dog I have not received any proof of titles I am very concerned about the legitimacy of this breeding practice. I love the breed I have rescued in the past and my now 9year old rescue has presented better and more consistent behavior than this dog even adopting him 6 years ago, which raises many concerns about breeding, title legitimacy and placement by the breeder.

WARNING BEWARE: Unprofessional Conduct and Disrespectful to New Prospective Buyer. Rating: (1/5)…read more As a professional marketer, I understand the immense value of word-of-mouth and customer relations, which makes my recent experience with Katherine (Catherine) Thomas at Executive Order Dobermans all the more disappointing. I reached out to this kennel as a self-identified novice, looking for guidance and trying to educate myself on the breed. I even found one that I wanted to consider getting. Specifically, I wanted to learn about critical health issues like DCM (Dilated Cardiomyopathy)--a fatal heart condition that affects nearly 60% of Dobermans--and how their breeding program mitigates those risks. Instead of receiving professional guidance from an so-called 'elite' breeder, I was met with extreme rudeness. When I asked basic questions to find the best fit for my life stage, Katherine was dismissive and ultimately hung up the phone on me. When the call was disconnected, she made no effort to call back or rectify the situation. A reputable breeder should be a mentor, especially when dealing with a complex breed like the Doberman. If a business owner is this unprofessional during a simple inquiry, it raises serious red flags about how they might handle a crisis or a health guarantee after a sale. I will be sharing this experience within my professional and social networks to ensure others are aware of this lack of basic customer service and transparency.

Looked at receipt - charged full-price on sale item. Went back in. Checkout person had changed to the unfriendly lady from the popcorn. First we got another check out person, then a man came in to "help" us but he walked out the door?? Next a manager came up and asked where the man helping us went - and I told him he walked out the door - maybe quit? Ha. Then that popcorn girl started our refund request on coffee that was marked $13.99 but rang up $15.99. The manager returned and I walked over to show the sign and sale. He looked and said the sale was over . I said the sign was up and it says $13.99 (in huge numbers). Nope. He reaffirmed it was $15.99 though the sign said $13.99. He was not friendly. No apology for the sign being up etc. So I asked for a return/refund. Back to the unfriendly pop corn lady. Meanwhile, this whole time, the man in line behind me stood waiting. HIs order was originally run up in the middle of mine. This is not the first time we have tried this store and not the 3rd time it ruined my day. Except for the young man who was sweet (who left - removed tray in cash register to change out for the popcorn lady) - the rest were all unfriendly/rude. A Friendly Atwoods is Derby. We've decided we don't deserve to be treated rudely, so will try to go to Derby vs. Andover location. Sad.

Super unprofessional employees and management…read more My friend drove an hour with her two small children to visit a kitten they had seen online. She and her kids immediately fell in love with the kitten, but were told they couldn't adopt. When I emailed some concerns to management, it took them three weeks to reply with an email that I was never intended to see. Their response to my complaint was that it was "farfefched" ... as if my friend would drive an hour one direction to adopt a kitten only to opt out of the adoption after seeing how much her kids and the kitten loved each other. This was my email complaint (shorteded) A male employee in his late twenties/ early thirties with light brown hair, glasses and white plugs in his earlobes "helped" my friend's family out with their desired adoption. My friend went in to adopt Mitzi around closing time today (6/25) with her two sons who are five and seven. They saw Mitzi online and went to visit her, but also saw two other kittens just in case - they knew immediately Mitzi was the kitten for their family. Mitzi obviously felt the same as she was running across the youngest child's lap and was very playful during their time with her. Unfortunately, my friend was unable to adopt Mitzi due to two employees. They made passive aggressive remarks about the kids not being able to handle kittens and were very rude to her and her children. While the boys were trying to get the kittens to play with the toys, one of the employees said "they are street cats, they don't like toys, they don't like you, and they don't like kids". When Mitzi ran across the youngest child's lap he got excited and squirmed a little - one of the employees criticized the child for moving and my friend for bringing the child. They said that she needs an adult cat instead of a kitten. They even said at one point to her "maybe if we left the room they would actually want to play with you guys more" then wouldn't leave the room to allow the family to play with the kittens. When my friend expressed interest in adopting Mitzi, one employee said to her "she is my favorite and I won't let her go home with just anyone". They also told her that she needs to adopt an adult cat as her kids shouldn't be allowed around kittens. This is highly disappointing as these children have grown up around dogs and have been around cats their entire lives.
