The Avalanche popup at Work and Leisure was a fun place to hang out, but not sure I would pay the $12 cover charge to do it again. You can buy tickets online or at the location. They had two bartenders and the drink line was usually long. The drinks have fun themed named and I enjoyed my $12 Icy What You Did There cocktail. They also offer food and there was no line for that. Included in the cost of admission are photobooth, a shuffle board and a Bocce court. When an awesome space meets catchy, fun events... Work and Leisure has you covered!! I have attended 3 events here. Friday the 13th. And 2 of the adult summer camp gatherings! The food at all three was catered by tenacious eats and it hands down delicious 100/10. The atmosphere is always fun. With games, photo ops. Amazing bartenders serving quirky, fun drinks and great music or a nostalgic movie playing. It's a great time for all. Highly recommend looking at the schedule and getting in on the fun!! read more

What a great event space! I visited Work & Leisure for the Avalanche popup bar. The place is spacious and really well designed for events. Delicious small bites from the kitchen and fun themed cocktails at the bar. There's plenty of room for the different vendors and setups like a photo booth room without it being too crowded. I attended the Avalanche Pop Up compliments of @Yelpstlouis. The space was decorated well, with lots of festive touches. The bartenders were working out first night kinks so it took a while to get a drink. They provided free samples while we waited, which was a nice touch. The margarita was delicious and my friend got the tasty, espresso martini. We shared the "Nosh" board which included a great winter mix. We played in the Photo Booth- which didn't send out the photos immediately which was a little odd. The DJ was great but there wasn't much room to move around or dance. Ozzie smith was in attendance and his team was handing out samples of his new seltzer which was a good way to keep the cold/empty side of the space lively. I have been to a couple of pop ups here and it's a nice space to hang out. Check in is easy and the staff are friendly. They do a nice job with decorations in the space they have to work with. The bar lines can get a little long but the cocktails are creative although a little pricey. It's a fun time and I'll definitely be back again for more pop up experiences in the future. read more

The avalanche pop up was soooo fun! I went on a Thursday night, which was Beyonce Renaissance themed and it was so fun! The ticket was $30, which included a snack (Chex mix or puppy chow), a drink ticket, and a donation. There was food available for purchase, which was a bit overpriced but it wasn't bad. The set up was nice, spacious and everyone was super friendly. I'd definitely recommend this if you want a chill night to celebrate the holidays. read more

I made my way to Work & Leisure for the Avalanche Holiday Pop Up Bar. They have special drinks that were specifically made for this pop up, & small bites! The vibe is being in a lodge in the mountains with a fire & being cozy. They have the Perfect photo op spots if you like to take pictures or get your picture taken. Such a nice space! I went in for the Avalanche pop up bar and it is so clean and well decorated. I loved when the Avalanche 'came down' and all of the games, drinks (the rum rum Rudolph was my favorite! I also had a hot cocoa with a cream liquor and a candy cane), food, and photo opportunities. I will give a heads up: if you're looking for a club/city like bar, this is a calmer step down to that which I enjoyed. No lines, not too loud/crowded, but all the fun of the downtown bars like 360 and sleigh shed. A great place to catch up with friends or family and get in the spirit! read more

Checked out the Avalanche winter pop-up bar today and had a nice time. The decorations and music are cute, but I do feel like they could take the themed decor a bit further with some simple touches. There's a ton of space in here which it was nice to be spaced out from other parties, but there's a lot of empty wall space to cover with some extra bows or tinsel! Both the drinks and the food were very good! The fried rice was some of the best I've ever had and the cheese on the nachos was so yummy. I wish there had been a little more signage to point out the photo booth, where to order food, and where the restrooms were. Luckily, the bartenders were friendly and pointed these out to us once asked. Overall a little room for some improvement with the look of the interior, but food and drinks on point! read more

Such a cool space to work at! They have a bar up front and have plenty of options. For $10 you can access the space behind the front room. There is so much space to spread out for work, plenty of tables, and some games! I sat at the bar and had an iced oat milk latte and a chai latte. Modern cafe/bar/working space in Midtown from the team at Brennan's in the Central West End. First of its kind in STL. When you first walk in there is a small bar/cafe to the left, a grab & go section to the right, and a work space in back. The bar/cafe has mostly bar seating, but there is 1-2 tables there as well. They mostly only have a lunch menu right now, but I got what was essentially a bagel and cream cheese off of their limited breakfast menu and I was very impressed. They also have a fantastic coffee menu. I also got a "hazelnut latte" and it was delicious. The grab and go section has a variety of snacks and drinks. You have to pay a membership to access the workspace, but they also sell day passes for 10$. The work space has a lot of tables & outlets, as well as a conference rooms, a bocce ball court, and both board and video games. You can eat your food in the workspace as well. The bartender/barrista was incredibly friendly and helpful in explaining the layout of the place read more

"By day" this place is great. The pop ups, held under the name This Is Not a Restaurant leave a lot to be desired. I think it is the same staff. The pop up with Tai Davis was such a disappointment. From the waiting outside masked in the sun for 30 min before we could come in, to the spacey lost server, to the inside heat (doors open), to the runny grits. The brunch took 3 hours! Closing the tab to pay, that alone, took 20 min. Even once they started letting people in 30 min after the scheduled time, it was like waiting to get on a rollercoaster. Step up, wait, tell your name, wait again. We didn't know it would be quasi-outdoor seating and weren't dressed appropriately. Everyone was so hot. Each course was at least 30 min in between. Drinks were forgotten. Waters weren't refiled. Paying the tab was haphazard. I'll come to the daytime thing but would definitely think twice before doing the pop ups there again. read more

This place is fantastic. The coffee is surprisingly good- be sure to try a latte or a nitro cold brew. The service is so good- I've gone twice in two days and the servers there have been so nice and really try to get to know you in order to help with recommendations. This is more of a breakfast/lunch/grab-and-go. There's very little seating in the front, and the back is members-only (their coworking space). It would be a tight squeeze if it got crowded in the front. There's no private parking, but parking is relatively easy to find on this part of Locust. Be sure to pay the meter because they ticket like fiends out there! I've tried the chop salad with salmon (they subbed in kale for me) and one of their avo roasts. Both were really good and well priced in my opinion. I would like to see more options on their menu, but their kitchen is tiny and open- air, so I'm not sure how likely that is. All in all, I highly recommend this place. The people are nice, the food is good, and the coffee is stellar. Midtown alley desperately needed something like this. Can't wait to go back! read more

Wow I am so happy I stopped in after seeing wicked at the fox. I saw this place being built out and now got to see the final product. They have games to play with your friends and great music. I tried their drink work and leisure and I must say wow amazing it beats any espresso martini. Jordan and Jane were great company and gave great attention and conversation. I will be back for sure! This place is, quite simply, amazing. It works as a co-working space, a bar, and an event venue. It is strikingly gorgeous. It also housed a fantastic watch party for the final game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The ownership and staff here are top notch. The food continues to impress. Lovely cocktails and I regularly come here for coffee, for meetings, and for a cocktail after (depending on how the meeting went, generally). I truly cannot say enough about how fantastic this venue is. read more

Went here twice within one week, and absolutely love the atmosphere and selections they provide for drinks. The menu is really just snack related, which is fine when just having a drink and snack with co workers or your significant other.
