I had a chance to tour Spark, a co-working space today, and it's amazing! The photos show how cool…read moreit looks, but they don't do it Justice. You first check in downstairs, and are given keyed entry via elevator to access the space. Upon arrival, you walk into a modern lobby/reception area. From there you enter the amazing Lounge space -- comfy couches and chairs; cozy tv lounge area; kitchenette/coffee bar; and even some fun games set up to take a break from work. Just off the Lounge area is a conference room, which can be divided into two rooms. It has tables and chairs for 32, and with extra seating can go up to 70ish. Individual offices line the corridor. And everywhere you look there is beautiful floor to ceiling windows, with phenomenal STL iconic views of the Arch, Busch Stadium, and more -- and wonderful natural light! Good for the working soul! We're planning a business meeting, and spoke with the GM, Julie, and she was great. So helpful and personable. She took time to give us the tour and talk through ball merging needs. I know we're in great hands! Parking is in the surface lots at BPV (Ballpark Village for those who don't know), or nearby parking garages. It's conveniently surrounded by amazing restaurants to grab a meal or treat clients. I highly recommend checking out Spark!

I had never heard of Lindenwood Park Place until I was told a party changed directions (read: been…read moremoved there when I showed up at the other venue, lol). I'm glad it was moved because I got to check out Lindenwood Park Place. LPP is a neighborhood social club that my friends just joined. It's in a former church, Immanuel Congregational Church. This church made good use of its vertical space (it doesn't have a big geographical footprint) but it had 3 floors of that are now pretty different from what it must have been like 100 years ago. The former sanctuary is now the party room on the 3rd floor. This area has plenty of room for tables and chairs, a stage, and a virtual golf area. The stage, which is the former altar area, has been stripped of the religious stuff and when I was there it featured a table with 4 leather chairs that had a comical amount of give. The 2nd floor has a Dungeon + Dragons room (Scallywag's Hollow) and a moody-looking library. The lowest level has a pickleball court and probably other sports opportunities going on that I didn't notice. Oh, and the branding is Monopoly-esque. I like that!

The Avalanche popup at Work and Leisure was a fun place to hang out, but not sure I would pay the…read more$12 cover charge to do it again. You can buy tickets online or at the location. They had two bartenders and the drink line was usually long. The drinks have fun themed named and I enjoyed my $12 Icy What You Did There cocktail. They also offer food and there was no line for that. Included in the cost of admission are photobooth, a shuffle board and a Bocce court. The food at all three was catered by tenacious eats and it hands down delicious 100/10. The atmosphere is always fun. With games, photo ops. Amazing bartenders serving quirky, fun drinks and great music or a nostalgic movie playing. It's a great time for all. Highly recommend looking at the schedule and getting in on the fun!!
