He was Dr. Daniel Amen's (the guy on public TV that is always speaking about the brain and has five clinics around the world) right hand man before starting his own clinic in Palo Alto and then Santa Rosa. I had a very complex case including brain injury and an inability to take stimulants but he worked with me twice a week for a couple of years and then did follow up for several years until he moved to Santa Rosa. He is a good person, easy to get along with and top notch in his practice. Like us, he has ADHD which clearly aids him in his practice but his paperwork... In simple, he is a great psychiatrist and got me through a tough process.

He has a phenomenal understanding of drugs and drug interactions, and is up on the latest findings in treating depression and related disorders. He combines both a rigorous scientific perspective with a humanistic and caring attitude that make visits to him events to look forward to. I am grateful for having Dr. Gardner in my life, and hope that you will consider him the next time you have a mental health issue that requires expert mental health assistance. The man has worked with two Nobel Prize winners in medicine and works in the interstices between neurology, psychiatry, and endocrinology.
